“Luxury on the Lough” Planning a 7 night holiday for 4 adults and 4 children under 5 was always going to be a bit of a bother, but when I stumbled upon 5 Fisherman's Cottage a stumbled upon a Gem. My best friend was coming to visit me from Australia with her husband and 2 small children so we didn't want the restrictions of a hotel but we wanted the luxury. I also had my husband and 2 small children so finding something that could accommodate us was always going to be tough. The 5 Fisherman's Cottage web page was easy to navigate and to be honest I thought the pictures were too good to be true. Boy was I wrong. We arrived on the Saturday and we were all blown away with this lodge. What you see is what you get. A little bit of French luxury tucked away in the south west of Northern Ireland with views of the lough that quiet honestly are breath taking. everything was spotless and comfortable, there was enough utensils and equipment in the kitchen to make it a real home from home. We went from breakfasts on the patio to after dinner drinks in front of the fire simply perfect. There is plenty to do for all ages in the area and the kitchen has a great folder with names and numbers of places of interest.With having 4 small children a washing machine was fantastic, we brought some toys with us but there are some toys tucked away which is fantastic, along with an extensive dvd collection and children's books, they really did want for anything. Baby gates at top and bottom of stairs was also great for piece of mind. I can honestly say I have never had such a relaxing holiday and it was Perfect to share with my friends from Australia who just loved it. Thankyou you so much for letting us share your beautiful home we would recommend in a heart beat and look forward to staying again.

“Just perfect!” Swallow cottage is the perfect cozy little place to get away from your normal busy life and unwind. It is about a mile and a half away from the village. A do-able walk but only a couple of mins in the car. The cottage was perfectly clean and well appointed. We had everything we needed. The pictures on the site are an accurate representation of what you will arrive to. Sally was very helpful, not that we needed anything extra. She even had milk in the fridge for us arriving. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage to everyone. We are planning to book again as soon as life allows.

“Amazing” What a fantastic holiday cottage. We arrived Thursday late afternoon and what a surprise. The cottage was lovely and warm and the owners had left a basket of essentials so it meant I could have a lovely cup of tea while unpacking. The cottage itself has every thing you could want or need and the underfloor heating was a bonus. Everything was so clean and there were even fresh flowers on the table. There is a wood burner in the lounge and an open fire in the snug, we sat in there on a night to watch tv. The beds are really comfortable and I had the best nights sleep. We were only a few miles from the coast so had the best of both worlds, beach and country. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we will definitely be back.

“Beautiful views and great hospitality” Our second stay to come 'home' and visit family. Very welcoming and well equipped house. The welcome pack was much appreciated after a longish journey with 3 young children, including treats for the children and wine for us! The house has great space for everyone and the necessary bits and pieces for young children e.g. stair gates/travel cot etc. Beautiful views of the sea from many windows, including the upstairs shower room! A good house for the children to play in after days out, and for us to relax in in the evenings, looking out to sea with a glass of wine. Paul is a very helpful host, with any queries being dealt with easily and we enjoyed visiting the sites of Bangor and around e.g. Pickie fun park and the coastal path. Jamaica Inn was good and the Salty Dog good for an evening out. All in all a lovely holiday and we will be back!

“A Delightful Stay” We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Everything was clean, decorated nicely,comfortable and cozy. The cottage was situated nicely for peace and quiet, a lovely view of the lough. (We loved the swans). The kitchen was well-equipped, we felt at home and hated to leave. Our hosts were most welcoming and we wished we could know them better.

“Amazing location” The townhouse is a perfect location for exploring the north!The townhouse has a dedicated parking space that is off the street; makes having a car so easy. The inside of the townhouse is nicely decorated, and everything was so clean! We really appreciated all of the little touches like the sweet welcome basket, ample soap and sundries, and the movies were a big hit with the kids. If needed, the wifi was strong and reliable during the entire stay. Finally, the view. What can you say? It was perfect! Thank you so much Tara!!

“Very relaxing” Very good holiday accommodation , owner very helpful, great for young children , full size cot, toys,baby bath. Also had 2 teenage girls and they said they would rather stay in Bushmills than port rush which I was originally looking at. A well equipped house with lovely comfy beds. Bushmills has lots of lovely resturants and it is central to every where. A very very good choice and would definitely stay here again. Thankyou

“Lovely oasis perched in the mountains overlooking the sea” The views are really lovely from the sitting room window, overlooking the bay. Immediately behind us, the Mourne Mountains and Tollymore Forest Park which provided great places for the dogs and me to explore. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, one of the best we have ever been to. My husband is a retired chef/restaurateur and he was delighted! Tricia and Julian were at hand if needed and not intrusive and gave the occasional great suggestion for a walk. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

“Tardis cottage” A very warm welcome from the hosts. Fresh bread, fresh milk, wine & flowers were waiting for us on arrival. Very spacious cottage. Massive kitchen with plenty of seating. Great sized bedrooms. Everything you need on a self catering holiday was provided here. Back yard is a sun trap with a picnic table. Ideal for dining alfresco. Beds very comfortable and warm. This cottage is amazing with plenty to do & see. Wish I could have stayed longer. Will defo be back :-)

“Fantastic house!” We stayed for two nights in the Chalet At Corbally and had a great time! It didn’t matter that it was during a very cold November as the house was warm and cozy! Barbara (the owner) was a brilliant host, and took the time to show us around and how the heating and wood burning stove works. The house is very central; only about two miles from portrush and ten minutes from portballintrae and Bushmills! Thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The house was a home away from home!

“An oasis, on a hill, overlooking the sea” Stayed in this lovely cottage for a week and had such a relaxing time. It was quiet and comfortable with all you might need but still close to the local amenities and attractions. Would stay again and would recommend.
