“Well appointed cottage in Kirbymoorside” Booking went very smoothly with last minute queries dealt with efficiently. Cottage felt very warm and welcoming when we arrived. Kitchen/diner ideal size for our extended family (3 generations) and living room comfortable in evening. Bedrooms well appointed. Kirbymoorside ideally placed for walks in N Yorks Moors and close enough to coast for change of scenery. Cottage in quiet street two minute walk from town centre which has good array of shops and choice of pubs for eating out. There is park close by for children.

“Perfect property for first break away with baby” From our first enquiry about Pudding Cottage, the owner Jacky was extremely helpful and full of information about the property and area. We were looking for a child friendly cottage (we have a 9 month old baby), with enough space to accommodate both sets of grandparents and Pudding was perfect, we were certainly not disappointed. The cottage has everything you would need for children. This includes travel cots, highchair, toys and games. It really is a home from home. We especially liked the patio area at the back of the cottage, where we enjoyed afternoon tea overlooking the private shared garden. The location is ideal. Not too far from Windermere or ambleside, both of which had all the amenities we needed. Best of all for us, the cottage was clean and maintained to a very high standard. We will certainly be back next year.

“Words can't even describe!” I am so so glad that we heard about the Far Boathouse. It is honestly one of the most breath taking places we have ever stayed. It's tucked away down a private path that opens up to a lovely secluded spot on the edge of the lake with just the most amazing views. We spent most of our time looking out from the balcony and woke up early to catch sunrise. It felt like home straight away with everything you could ever need with lots of extra touches from Jayne. The most perfect place to stay for our first wedding anniversary. Thank you!

“Perfection is a fickle creature.” We always look for somewhere within walking distance of town and Greenside is just about perfect (5 minutes walk). The cottage is a two-up, two-down (with attached "outhouse" with loo and washing machine) so in comparison to our home is "bijoux" shall we say. However, with bijoux comes cosy and luckily we don't have a cat lol. Christine has thought of almost everything one could ever want and need; so full-marks there. The road gives a bit of noise during bed-time but it shouldn't be a problem if you're used to light traffic. The lakes are on your doorstep so we had a lovely four day break. We recommend Rydal Hall, Rydal water (caves included), Skelwith Bridge Elterwater, The Tarns (Tarn Hows) for leisurely walking and I went to Blea Tarn and Wast Water - not for the faint hearted regarding the drive over Wrynose and Hard Knott passes but well worth the angst for the scenery. In summary, the cottage is ideal for a home-from-home stay, very clean and Christine provides welcoming touches too - 9/10! We would stay again and recommend it to couples.

“Excellent value for money” Lovely cottage in fab location. Great walks on door step. Walking distance to pub, try The Flappit great hospitality and food only 15 min walk. The cottage is ideal for couples with dogs. Very clean and spacious. Excellent value for money as some cottages are asking twice the price! Lovely views of the fields over the road. Road can be a bit busy at times but not a problem. Also try the local Chinese take away, great value an great food. Lovely time on the steam train. Also Bingley three and five lock canal is so worth a visit. Fascinating watching the boats doing the locks.
