“Roaming Suitable Digs” This past summer I needed a place to stay for a few months with short notice while I worked on special projects. Suitable Digs was already well booked, but Lisa was able to accommodate me by providing me with new digs every few weeks. So I was able to fully experience her sanctuary and was quickly made to feel comfortable and at home. I stayed first in the Bunk House which is a great studio to work and relax. Then off to the Earth room which was beautifully cool and quiet. Then my favorite, the Spartan which is set away from the main accommodations - it felt like I was living a dream out there. At night there was nothing to see but stars. A quick 15 minutes drive from Downtown and 5 minutes to local shops, Suitable Digs is close to amenities. The location feels like an out of town oasis as it is nestled in a desert juniper landscape with views of the Santa Fe mountains. Easy to absorb the calm and expansive energy of the place. But the real beauty of Suitable Digs is the owner, she is an inspiration and is interesting and interested in the world. Each day I would break from work to take a walk through the junipers, tour her latest garden project, or chat about food, energy efficiency, plants, or Peru. I highly recommend Suitable Digs for both short and long stays.

“Restful retreat!” I truly enjoyed my stay at this Fort Marcy condo owned by the Hills! I was traveling by myself to Santa Fe for the first time and given that I didn't know anyone, not only did the owner meet me upon my arrival with detailed information of the neighborhood as well as a thorough tour of the condo complex, but he also reiterated that he and his wife are available day or night if I need anything at all. This was a great assurance for me regarding safety so that I could focus on the main purpose of why I was there to begin with. Also, while the photos on the website were pleasant enough for me to reserve the condo, the space felt exceptionally warm and cozy (yet so spacious) after having arrived that I was able to work comfortably on my art project for days! I would definitely recommend staying here - either for a single person on a retreat or a whole family taking a tour!

“Meditation Retreat” Rass Mandal is nothing short of magical. A Morrocan castle designed with careful attention to every luxurious detail. The spacious layout of multiple bedrooms provides intimate private areas to begin your day. The round living room was the perfect setting for our group of 10 to meet in comfort. The large indoor dining table was filled with luscious meals catered by one of Richard's friends, paying special attention to our healthy requests. The View was nothing short of spectacular. The outdoor living areas were carefully coordinated to accomodate multiple private conversation areas and a place for everyone to watch the sunset and star gaze. The pool, hottub, firepit and separate yoga pavilion topped off 5 star amenities to your own private resort. I stepped off the deck and onto a hiking trail that led me back into a idyllic wooded area I shared with a family of deer. We were even able to take in an art walk with a quick 15 minute jaunt into santé fe. I left inspired and rejuvenated! I will be back as soon as I can!

“a heavenly stay” We totally enjoyed this spacious bright comfortable villa with the most spectacular views and sunsets. A short drive totown to town and fort Marcy park,with all sorts of classes...to attend...you could also step out of the house and find the best hikes all around. ... we also very much appreciated the peace and quiet surrounding us. We could have stayed there for ever...
