About Manila

One of the oldest cities in the Philippines, Manila was once a seat of power for Colonial rulers, and many landmarks here date back to the 16th century. Here you’ll see Fort Santiago, today a museum, Manila Cathedral and the National Art Gallery.

Manila is packed with history and culture, and it’s easy to spend an entire day wandering around the city’s museums and galleries. Top of any culture lover’s list should be the National Museum of the Philippines, for an insight into local history, and the Metropolitan Museum of Manila.
