“No title could do justice...” No title could do justice to the experience of staying here. Pauline was a great host; helpful, on hand when needed yet unintrusive. She gave local recommendations when asked for and was a breeze to communicate and organise with. It is hard to appreciate a good host until one experiences to the contrary, but we were in very good hands from start to finish. The farmhouse itself is beautiful, quite classically decorated and the rooms are well-appointed. If you're reading this then I'm guessing you want to know whether or not you want to stay here. Here are some things which may help. Highlights (for us): - the gas BBQ & grill on the patio - the incredible view, including sunrise from the balcony. - the location is so peaceful but so connected for when you want (see below). No disturbances. - within hazy-stumbling distance of Xaghra Square (honestly 7, straight-line minutes), Ramla Bay (20) and some really old ancient things (10). - air conditioning - spacious, not just in sleeping capacity but also in living areas i.e. kitchen and living room. It can entertain as many as it can sleep. - Gozo transport is incredibly cheap, efficient and good quality. - the local community are warm, good-humoured and friendly. Some things to be prepared for: - mosquitos will have a go, unless the farmhouse is since equipped with nets, guards or working deterrents. - that's about it. In case it's helpful - we're in our mid-twenties. We saw mostly older families/friends here (and not overrun with tourists in May/June). We found Gozo & Malta neither too quiet nor too hectic, and with plenty of room for either extreme if you so desire. Take a good book for the poolside and go clubbing in La Grotta on Friday night/morning. Gozo is beautiful. You should go. Just leave room for us.

“A Perfect Stay” Spent the last week of September as a workation for a small firm of eleven. The week was used as a mix of business and pleasure to which the house was a perfect fit. Both the house and the location really is a find. A special thanx to the host Amanda who took care of all our need - from finding a chef to arranging local transports. One of those rare finds!

“Oh so comfortable villa - and that pool!” A wonderful, private and oh so comfortable villa - and that pool! We enjoyed 8 days of peace, quiet and comfort staying in Ta Berta in Sannat. The welcoming Sam and Michelle have created a fantastic home away from home. Thank you for everything. You guys are the best!

“Fantastic house in a lovely area” We were greeted by Anthony on our arrival. He showed us around his beautiful house before leaving us to explore. We were provided with a welcome pack which included; milk, eggs, ham, cheese and bread and a wonderful bottle of home made wine which was such an unexpected but lovely gesture. The house was immaculate and fully equipped for my us and our two children (aged 14yrs and 8yrs). It gave us enough space to relax and allowed us to enjoy a real family holiday together. The pool was a god send in the hot days, it was difficult to get our youngest out of there. We also enjoyed the BBQ area, often eating & relaxing on the roof during the cooler evenings whilst watching the numerous firework displays across the island. As we were in the house over a week, Anthony and his wife came (by prior arrangement) to change the linen, they are both very friendly and accommodating and they even gave us a home made Malta cross which we found very touching. We have had to pay up to 80 Euros for linen service at previous accommodation but this was included in the agreed price here. We have stayed both on Malta & Gozo many times but this property was by far the best value for money that we have come across. We thoroughly enjoyed are time here and would definitely recommend this to anyone.

“Lovely villa and we were well looked after by Melita the owner.” June 25th 2016 - July 9th 2016 We are regular visitors to the wonderful island of Malta, know and love it. We travel as a large family group of 10, ages ranging from my wife's parents who are in their 80's through to our youngest son who is 16. We have booked hotels and villa's previously but must say that this rates as the best villa we have had the pleasure to stay in. The pool is good with easy access into the shallow end for juniors/seniors sloping gently to the deep end and the smaller splash pool is great to just relax in. The pool building has a shower/toilet one end that is useful in eliminating the need to walk through the apartments when you are wet and a washing machine in the other end. The gardens are well set out around the pool area and maintained well. The layout of 3 separate apartments worked well for us, allowing privacy and space for all. With each apartment having its own bathroom and kitchen, mornings worked well as there was no long queue for the bathroom or for the kettle. When not dining out we split the cooking across the 3 apartments and then dined al fresco by the pool in the shade. Local services such as supermarkets, restaurants, bus stops etc. can be reached with a 5 minute walk. I did hire a small car locally as this made it easier to ferry the more senior members around as well as fetching the required supplies from the supermarket as bottles of water, milk and supplies for 10 people are not light to carry in 36' temperatures I am an early riser so frequently met up with the owners husband who would be carrying out pool cleaning duties just as the sun was rising ensuring the pool was in tiptop condition every day. I would have no problem recommending this villa to friends or colleagues and would not hesitate to return again with my family. Lovely well maintained villa and we were well looked after by the owners, Thank you Melita.

“excellent place to stay” Make sure you look into a good car hire place and explore the island. The farmhouse is a brilliant base to visit all of this island as its pretty central. Lovely beaches close by also an excellent place to just relax in for the day.

“Ideal for what we wanted” We were met at the villa by the owner who showed us around. the Villa was very large and worked out to be ideal for our needs. there is a downstairs area with 1 bedroom and a living area with a couple of put up beds and a bathroom. this was great for my teenage boys who used this as a flat away from everyone to do their own thing when they wanted. on ground level there is 2 large bedrooms with on sweets and a twin room with a bathroom next to it. the pool area and view is stunning. the only criticism I have about the villa is it really could do with updating, but if it was updated then you would have to spend allot more money to hire it. We would stay here again, its ideally positioned as well.

“Wonderful holiday!” We stayed in Doriannes farmhouse late august 2012 for 12 nights. Two families, 6 teens and 4 parents. Dorianne could not have been more helpful from the initial booking process right through to departure. If you want a quiet break Gozo is for you! I would say a car would be a must so that you can visit all the beaches, sightsee etc but before you book in UK ask Dorianne to get a price for you from Franky who will also organise airport pick up from Malta to Gozo and then have your car delivered to the Farmhouse. Everywhere really is only 10 mins drive but I guess it would be a 40 min trek walking to any beach. Having Victoria on the doorstep was wonderful & we recommend locally La Stanza, It Tokk and Patricks Lounge Restaurants (you can walk to these from the Farmhouse) Highly recommend taking a boat trip around Gozo, (ask Franky to organise/get a cost for you or easy to do yourself from the Harbour. The sea and coast are stunning and the sea really is turquoise! Dorianne left a starter pack of bread cheese and ham & some homemade wine on arrival which was a lovely start to the holiday. The Farmhouse is basic, but was clean spacious and covered all our needs! When we wanted more salad bowls Dorianne happily supplied. The pool is wonderful. Our only recommendation to Dorianne would be to add some greenery/colour plants to soften the outside pool area along the walls as it is very stark without any greenery. The garden at the back of the house was lovely to sit out in the evenings but would benefit from having chairs and a small table with umbrella so you can use in the day & at night so you can appreciate the view which you don't get by the pool. “Awesome!” I stayed in this beautiful farmhouse last summer with 14 of my family/friends. We had a great time, the huge out door area was perfect with such a large group of us! Most afternoons was spent playing volley ball! The outside oven provided a great evening of making pizza's, which was great even if they were slightly burnt! Cant wait to book for next summer! Matt
