Thank you very much for taking the time to provide us with such positive feedback about your stay with us. It is much appreciated. I'm sorry you found the tourer vans a bit close: I presume you are referring to the French windows in the lounge not the bedroom windows which of course are too high to be overlooked. You are right in saying the Vulcan Lodge is not remote. I've now adjusted the information on our website to make this clear. Like you many guests love the river walk. We are so lucky to have it on the doorstep. Also, the Wye Valley Walk itself is only just across the river and can be reached by a 10 minute walk through Llanwrthwl village. Thank you again for giving us your feedback.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We are glad you liked the Middleton and enjoyed your stay in this part of Wales. We sometimes feel somewhat in the shadow of the Brecon Beacons with its National Park status but the Élan Valley and the Cambrian mountains are at least as beautiful. Thank you again for your very positive review. Elaine Owner
