PRETTY STONE COTTAGE IN A QUIET LOCATION ON THE DEVON/CORNWALL BORDER
A traditional cottage refurbished to retain its original features including exposed beams, stone walls and wood flooring throughout. The accommodation is spacious yet very cosy, and is ideally located for a holiday in the countryside, situated on a working cattle and dairy farm.
Being on the Devon and Cornwall border, you will be within driving distance of Bude, Tintagel and Padstow to the north and Fowey and the Eden Project to the south. Dartmoor is on your doorstep, so why not take a walk and enjoy the stunning scenery or visit one of the quaint moorland villages for a traditional Devon cream tea. Roadford Reservoir is nearby and is great for canoeing, sailing and angling, other activities such as horse riding, golf and cycling are available locally. In the evenings, enjoy a meal at a local pub, or relax in the garden with a BBQ. Farm activities: a farm visit to view farming activities, such as the milking, can be arranged with the owner.
The spacious accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: all on the first floor, 1 double, 1 super-king-size (which can be a twin on request) and 1 bunk bedroom. Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC. Separate downstairs WC. Lounge: situated on the ground floor, a spacious yet cosy area with woodburner (first basket of logs provided), TV, Freeview, DVD and hi-fi. Dining room: with seating for 6. Kitchen: country-style with electric range cooker, traditional Belfast sink, fridge with ice-box, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. Conservatory area with tiled flooring, seating and space for hanging coats and storing muddy boots. Outside: to the rear of the property is an enclosed garden benefiting from a large patio area with garden furniture and lawn. A large barn with kennelling for dogs, extra freezer, storage for bikes and surfboards and outside games and toys, ideal for keeping children entertained. Amenities: ample parking to the side and front of the property. Bed linen, towels, electric and central heating included. Regret no smoking in the property. 2 dogs welcome, however, they are not to be allowed in the property. Additional info: stairgates and fireguard available on request. Location: beach 50 minute drive, pub and shop 2 miles.
Dogs are charged at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.
