Lazio holidays

Lazio is the epicentre of Roman and Renaissance culture in Italy: fine art, rich history and unique attractions await under the Mediterranean sun. Lazio’s capital, Rome, could take weeks to explore by itself - it’s the Eternal City, after all. But to truly experience Lazio, you must make time to explore the idyllic Italian countryside.

Ancient Wonders

As the heart of the Roman Empire, Lazio hides countless cultural relics. The Colosseum is nearly 2,000 years old, and remains the largest amphitheatre ever built. Parts of the Roman Forum are older still. The Pantheon, meanwhile, is the best preserved of any Roman building - it’s still used today!

Two Great Cities

Nestled within Rome itself is the astonishing Vatican City. The seat of the Holy See, it’s a sovereign state in its own right and filled with artistic, architectural and religious wonders. The masterworks of Raphael, Michelangelo and Da Vinci are just some of the treasures housed here.

Quintessential Countryside

Imagine lazy afternoons in Mediterranean heat, wandering among rolling vineyards and olive groves. It’s all waiting for you in rural Lazio. If you tire of fine food, wineries and quiet contemplation, you could detour to Civita di Bagnoregio - an ancient Etruscan town perched on a volcanic plateau. There’s no better view in Lazio

Great Apartment With View On St Peter’s Dome
Spacious House Close to the Vatican

The apartment is big and the 2 bathrooms are great. There are some cute restaurants in the area, but it can be an expensive Uber ride to areas like the Trevi Fountain. It would have been nice to have more towels–they only supplied 3 towels. If the Vatican is your focus, then this family-friendly neighborhood with an elevator is great.see more

Beautiful Apartment near Spanish Steps

We stayed ten days in this flat and loved every minute of it. The owner was friendly and extremely helpful with all our queries. The amenities were wonderful and the furnishing luxurious. Many great shops and restaurants in walking distance and a fully appointed kitchen, if you want to eat in. … see more

Nice and spacious apartment

When we arrived at the apartment, Francesca’s friend explained us everything. The rooms are very big and there is enough space for everyone. We have stayed in the apartment for 5 days and we were 7 people. We were really surprised and happy that the apartment is just one block away from the sea! When we got there, Francesca even left us some snacks and drinks. We’ve been in contact with her over message and she was very kind and friendly! We felt very welcome and spent a great time in Ostia. The place is a few minutes from the train station and a supermarket. There are lots of restaurants at the seaside. The area is also very calm and not crowded at all. We went to Rome every day and it only took us 30 minutes. We were worried about the longer distance to the city at first but you can get there quickly and the trains are not even crowded. It was definitely a good choice to not go directly into the city center!! The next time I’m in Rome I will absolutely consider booking the apartment again! Thanks for the great time!see more
Holiday House Mirandolina
pleasant accommodation

The apartment is located in a typical Italian neighborhood, nice, clean and sufficiently furnished. Despite the reputation of noisy Italian households, we didn't even hear the neighbors. :-) The only inconvenience is the Italian public transport (unless you have a car and know the driving style in Rome). Despite the fact that the bus stop is near the house, not even Google could tell us when the bus would arrive, whether we would have to wait 2 minutes or 30 minutes... But those are vacation experiences. ;-)see more

Fabulous Apartment

We have just spent a few days in Rafaella’s lovely apartment . It is perfect for a family holiday as it has good kitchen, two lovely bathrooms and plenty of space for a family of four (even when the “children” are actually young adults !). The apartment is spacious and well furnished and Rafaella is an excellent host. The only small issue we had is that some of our eu/uk sockets did not fit the plug sockets - but that is a very minor quibble. The apartment Is in a quiet neighbourhood within 5 minutes walk of the metro, and then only 30 minutes into the city centre. Locally there are supermarkets, gelateria and a range of local shops and bars all within 5 minutes walk. All in all we would heartily recommend Rafaella’s apartment and if, (or rather when) we return to Rome we will try to stay there again.see more
