“Excellent stay” Lovely property, Carol made us very welcome, thoughtful welcome pack including logs for the wood burner. Couldn't fault any part of our stay. Explored the surrounding areas and enjoyed a trip to Blackpool lights. Try The Cottage fish and chip shop in Marton, busy place but well worth the queue! It was myself and my husband, our 5 year old son and our dog that stayed. I'm sure we will be back!,

“A great location for being closer to Nature.” The location was excellent as our daughter lives in Carnforth and we spent most days together with her, her partner, our two sons , their partners and our two granddaughters. The girls loved searching for "bunnies" and being so close to the ducks. The lodge was very well equipped , clean and comfortable, but it took us some time to adjust to the gas cooker as the pressure seemed very low and food took much longer to cook.There could have been a concession at the pool as the price seemed exorbitant at £17 + for a couple, who only wanted to swim. The beach was too close to the lake for our granddaughters' safety so we went to Morecambe for the day. The website stated "all linens " ,but bath towels were not included and previous experience of self catering taught us to check. Everybody enjoyed the week there , especially the visit to the Beatrix Potter experience and the Play Barn .We also visited Leighton Moss , which is a wonderful RSPB site with amazing resources for the whole family and great cakes in the tea room.

“lodge in idyllic setting” Stunning location, perfect weather to sit on the verandah watching the activities on the lake. Great amenities on site and plenty of places to visit without going too far.

“lovely” Beautiful cottage in the midst of a working farm. Very clean and well stocked. Beautiful views and great sunsets. Maggie and John could not have been nicer. I feel as if we made new friends besides being very well looked after.
