“The most relaxing place in Scotland... perhaps on Earth!” The highlight of my trip to Scotland was sitting in the observatory of Lusta Cottage and enjoying the splendid view while sipping a warm cup of tea! We watched the sunsets, the rainbows and the sheep grazing on the croft below us. It is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and I had not felt so relaxed in years! The cottage was cozy and bright, and provided ample space for the six of us. Our two young children loved running around the cottage and were kept entertained with the toys and DVDs that were available. The owners were very friendly and helpful. They provided a lot of useful information about the cottage and the surrounding area (where to eat, where to shop, where to hike, etc.). I was initially concerned with its remote location, being far from the places that we wanted to visit, but this great cottage makes the drive back and forth all worth it. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

“Beautiful scenery and friendly owner, a great place to stay and” John, the owner, knows all the best places to visit on Skye and was able to help us plan our days. This was our second visit to the Barn and we found it to be very comfortable with good road access to the rest of Skye. We plan on returning for a third visit quite soon.
