“Fantastic Holiday - Perfect Villa” We stayed in Gozo at the end of May/beginning of June. We were a party of 4 adults and a 4 year old child. The owners of the villa, Pauline & Mario, made us feel very welcome, and were always on hand if needed. The transport, arranged by Pauline, from the airport to the villa was faultless. The villa itself was beautiful, Very spacious inside, and perfect for large parties and very well equiped. The pool was a big hit with our daughter, who was the first one in every morning at 7:30. We hired a car for a few days & visited Malta. We also purchased a weeks bus ticket (€6.50 per adult), which gave us unlimited travel around Gozo. The village itself is quiet, but has a few restaurants anfd supermarkets. We had lunch a few times in the cafe/patisserie in the square by the church. Very good value & delicious cakes. We used the Lighthouse supermarket, the fruit & veg market stall & the Aldi by Victoria. For dinner, the best restaurant to visit is Tal Furnar. The food is delicious. We went a few times, and there were so many tasty things on the menu. The owners were very friendly, and we loved chatting with them. Portions are massive. If it is a relaxing break that you are looking for, then Gozo is perfect.

“Luxury accommodation in a laid-back location.” My wife and I were travelling with my 90-year-old mother. When we were looking at booking Berta, Sam was concerned that Mum may not be able to climb the front steps or get in one of the free-standing showers. He even sent photos to help us make up our minds. We went ahead and booked for 5 days. We were met by Sam at the ferry and he took us for a quick tour of the area surrounding Sannat to show us food stores, eateries, etc. The photos do not do the accommodation justice. The pool and barbecue areas were secluded and inviting, the location was quiet and the washing machine and kitchen were a blessing. The WiFi was excellent. Service from Sam was first class. Nothing was a problem even when we extended our stay by another 2 days or when we had some relatives stay for a couple of nights. He was just like one of the family. Gozo is a beautiful island. There is so much to see, the people are friendly and the climate is mild in autumn. You could not go wrong by staying at Berta if you are going to Gozo.

“Practical accomodation especially for families” clean, comfortable, practical, fun. The hosts are very helpful and friendly. Location is ideal as it is close to the capital city of the island which is within walking distance. We have returned time and time again to this residence as it never fails to disappoint. Good value for money especially for groups and enough space for everyone to be comfortable (we are usually a group of around 10 persons). It could do with a microwave and a dishwasher though.

“We couldn't have been made more welcome.” We didn't really know what to expect as we chose this villa and destination rather quickly one morning after a brisk trawl of the internet. We couldn't have been happier. Right from the word go, the owner, Marvik, was in touch via e-mail making sure everything would run smoothy. He arranged transport to and from the airport which included the ferry. We arrived a little tired at 4 in the morning, but Marvik's mother, Victoria, was there to show us around the house. The Villa was spotless, as was the pool. The pair continued to be on hand throughout the week helping us whenever we needed. It turns out that Kercem is a very quiet part of the island and the nearest supermarket is a one hour round trip if walking. So we soon elected to hire a car (luckily one of us brought their licence). Marvik was at the end of a phone and had arranged a car to be delivered to our door within two hours. At a very good price. So long as he'll have us (we did our best to keep the kids quiet around the pool) we'll be back.

“wonderful holiday farmhouse” We had a wonderful and relaxing holiday in this impressive farmhouse with a fabulous pool and lovely outside eating area. Penmon is very spacious and caters superbly for two families. It's very difficult to suggest anything to make your stay in Penmon any better as Mark has ensured that everything you need is there. The local supermarket is well stocked with local wines and food and we found everyone in Gharb very welcoming. Gharb's local fiesta was spectacular with the loudest fireworks we've ever heard. We enjoyed reasonably priced food at Ranger's bar sitting outside on the roof terrace, with excellent friendly service. Would recommend hiring a boat ( & driver) for a few hours for snorkelling /swimming around the Blue Lagoon and other bays - it's brilliant. Would also recommend Victoria Garage, they organised the transfers to / from the airport and provided us with two cars for the week. They were so courteous and went out of their way to help us when driving to Gharb and to the harbour. All in all we had a wonderful time and would certainly recommend Penmon for a super holiday villa. Many thanks to Mark for his efficient organisation and for all the help he gave us with planning this holiday. We will certainly be back to Penmon & hopefully very soon.
