“Lovely homely house from which to explore west and north Clare” Modern but characterful house, spacious, lots of natural light, great views to both Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands. If you're looking for a peaceful break to recharge your batteries, Gorse Cottage fits the bill. Two or three pubs close by in Doolin with good food and music as well. Get one of the local guides (we recommend Mary Howard) to show you and explain the Burren. If you're a cyclist, do the coast road to Fanore and Ballyvaughan, it's a lovely ride.

“An enchanted place” Herons Cove Cottage is an enchanted place directly on the West Cork Coast where we spent two wonderful weeks. The house has everything you need for a short or for a long stay. The setting in Ballydehob Bay is beautiful, you can watch the bay, nature and the surrounding landscape from inside the house or from one of the lovely places around. The beauty of the cottage and all the carefully maintained details let us even forget one or the other Irish rain shower. You very well can explore West Cork from Herons Cove. On the practical side: it was important to have a car as Ballydehob is approximately 3 km away. If you are in for walking, running and similar activities you will appreciate the great scenery, but it can be steep at times. Thanks to Kathleen and Tony for two superb weeks, we are looking forward to coming back again.

“Warm, peaceful and serene” On arrival at the cottage we were taken back by the prettiness and character. A lot of thought has been put into this beautiful home and a lot of attention to detail, every day found something new. It was clean, comfortable, spacious and cosy with the log burner in the evenings. Stunning views of Croagh Patrick and the lake from the cottage. For a true taste of Ireland and beautiful scenery I would highly recommend. Fishing boats are available for hire on the lake a short distance away. The cottage is located roughly 6 miles from Westport, which is a great town and had everything we required. We will be back again Ann. Thank you for providing a clean, comfortable haven.

“Quaint and Quirky” Beautiful cottage surrounded by gorgeous scenery. The property was clean and had everything you could need and more. Sleeps 6 comfortably (Very comfy duvets)! Didn't use the conservatory but did use the games and rackets for outside. Plenty of garden space for outdoor play. Owner was very helpful and communication was excellent. “Majestic Mountains” The scenery is stunning; the peace and tranquility unbelievable - the only sounds were from sheep, cattle or the occasional tractor on the mountain road. We had great weather which helped but I'd challenge you to find a more beautiful spot in Donegal. I loved to sit on the front step of an evening taking in the views and feeling calmed by the utter stillness all around. Sean was extremely friendly and accommodating and very easy to deal with. The house is grand - beautiful views from every aspect - the only niggle is that the WiFi is patchy (we could only access it once in 6 days) but having said that, that didn't bother me as I wanted to get away from it all and this location and accommodation hit the mark. The beautiful strand beach is 10 minutes walk from the house and never really packed (but watch out for the jelly fish)! If you are looking for a tranquil getaway in stunning surroundings, this is the place for you. I've visited many locations in Donegal over the years but this one stole my heart.

“Spectacular views” Beautiful & spacious house with spectacular views. Enjoyed the jacuzzi. Really needed to have 2 weeks as we travelled by car because of the dog. Possible improvements a larger television & softer mattresses.Due to the remoteness of the island you need to plan ahead as there are no bank machines and only 1 pub would provide cash back (when the system was working!)

Ireland holiday chalet let

Kilmore Quay chalet

“Excellent home away from home to enjoy the sunny southeast.” This is a very nice chalet with excellent hosts (Georgina and Ian). The chalet was very clean upon our arrival which was to be expected but what was not expected was the warm homemade bread, homemade jams and several food items. Georgina was very helpful and answered all our queries with ease and good humour. The sunny southeast didn't always live up to its name but there are many indoor activities locally to keep you occupied. Heartily would recommed Windy Neuk for two or three people. Nightlife options are really the local restaurants and pubs.

“A relaxing home from home” We agree with all the other reviewers. Linda has thought of everything one might want or need in a holiday rental, even small details like bedside clocks and cozy throws on the backs of the sofas. The cottage was SPOTLESS. It was wonderful to share our long weekend with our dogs - one sat for long periods in her bed by the bedroom window and gazed out over Brandon Bay! The views from every window are spectacular. The beach is close to the cottage and O'Donnell's pub in the village has great character, charm, good food and beer and good company. We look forward to returning here.

Glenbeigh house

“A wondrous Holiday!” I miss Knockatinna already, having spent a lovely two weeks in its embrace! It's truly in the country, but only a five minute drive from a delightful village (Glenbeigh - with several wonderful pubs, including the Olde Glenbeigh, with origins dating back to the late 1700's). The house was truly outfitted for "self-catering", with all kitchen accoutrements on hand. Linens, towels, etc., were amply furnished. The house is well heated, but for chill evenings, two fireplaces add to the charm of the place. From Knockatinna we toured the Ring of Kerry, the Dingle Penninsula (greeting Fungie, the friendly Dolphin in Dingle Bay), Blarney Castle, Cashel of the Kings and Cork City as well as Bunratty, Durty Nellie's and the unbelievable Cliffs of Moher. We enjoyed spectacular beaches, the Bog Museum, classic Irish farms and pastures, pristine lakes, and of course, embracing Irish hospitality served up by John and Kathleen O'Shea and their fabulous daughter, Laura. All made for a wondrous holiday which we would love to repeat as soon as possible.

“Sun, sand, seashells and a very cozy cottage - pure recreation!” We very much enjoyed our stay at The Dunes. The hosts thought of everything a family might need or enjoy during their holidays. From postcards to dvds for children, from electric heaters to knitting books, from a radio to a fully equipped kitchen, from a maritime bathroom to toilet paper - we didn´t miss a thing.

Ireland holidays

Dew-covered fields sparkle emerald green and the lilting sound of happy-go-lucky locals drifts from a cosy pub close by. Where else could you be but Ireland? From Dublin’s enchanting streets to County Kerry’s rugged beauty, you’ll be powerless against its charms.

Packed With Personality

Whether you’re in the city or countryside, Ireland offers a warm welcome. Dublin, its vibrant and charismatic capital, is a fascinating city. Cobbled streets are lined with historic buildings, including the medieval St Patrick’s cathedral, the spectacular buildings of Trinity College, and the revitalised Docklands district (not to mention around 1,000 pubs). And no visit to Dublin is complete without touring the world-famous Guinness factory or walking the banks of the beautiful River Liffey.

Fairy Tale Scenery

In rural Ireland, breathtaking vistas of lush fields dotted with thatched cottages come as standard. For incredible coastal views, nothing beats driving the Wild Atlantic Way: you can expect exquisite beauty at each and every turn in the road. But the Emerald Isle has a few surprises, too: County Clare’s Burren National Park offers explorers a lunar landscape, including the unique 207-metre peak of Knockanes with ridges that curve up the hillside.

Light-Hearted Locals

From the high spirits of St Patrick’s Day to laid-back laughter over a pint of the black stuff, much of Ireland’s lively social scene plays out in the comfort of a cosy pub. You’ll probably be treated to some impromptu trad music (traditional Irish folk music) and end up singing the night (as well as your worries) away. Dublin is the place for bustling bars while quieter watering holes can be found pretty much anywhere you care to stay, from Westport to Wexford.

Stunning Victorian House on Sandymount Strand
Beautiful property with stunning views

We had an amazing time in this beautiful period house. Extremely well equipped and host Lorraine was very friendly & helpful. The view of Sandymount beach from the bedroom is amazing and watching all the boats was a favourite pasttime :) It’s hard to believe it’s just a short walk or Dart ride into Dublin city centre. We had booked tickets for a concert at Malahide Castle which was superb! Our favourite trip was to Howth; we took the Island boat trip to Ireland’s Eye where we stayed on the island watching the seals and birds nesting :) All in all a Perfect property in a top location; with bbqs on the sun-trap patio, stunning morning sunrise views right from the bed, a short walk to everything you could need, locals who couldn’t be more warm and welcoming, we had a fabulous holiday!see more
Orchard View Cottage
Absolutely perfect

I highly recommend this house- easily the best house I have ever rented. Martina is amazing as a host. The house is in a perfect location in town. Two minute walk to the Spar (grocery store)/ center of town. All of the walk has a side walk or a grass space off of the roadway so it felt safe with kids. We went with the grandparents and the 6 of us felt very comfortable. Extremely clean. We had WiFi that worked well so that we could check in with work. My kids had a safe place in the back. The washer was great and as Americans we enjoyed line drying our clothes. There is a fireplace, but some birds had recently built a nest up top so we were not able to use that. The house had everything we needed in a fully stocked utility room and linen closet. Martina even had a welcome basket for us. The location is fantastic for visiting this area of Ireland. There are hikes and things to explore all within walking distance of the town and then anything one might want to see is most likely a 30 minute drive or less (about an hour to Galway or Shannon). Ballyvaughan is a delightful town and we felt very much welcomed by the locals. The attached pictures are from our last day so anything out of place is because of us. I wanted to take additional pictures because I wasn’t expecting the quality of house or location until we arrived and I wondered if more pictures might help to tell the story.see more

Beautiful cottage, Stunning views

The cottage was beautiful with good size rooms, well equipped for all needs, comfortable beds & the owner was very friendly, showed us round & explained all that was needed. The views from the cottage were just stunning. Photos just don’t do it justice. It’s location was perfect for us & our stay there. From the cottage there is an awful lot to see & do all within 1 hours drive. So highly recommend this cottage.see more

Home away from Home!

We stayed here for 10 nights and what a lovely cottage away from home. Beds are comfy and the cottage had everything we needed to cook meals most nights - Other than a fish slice lol! There is also loads of space for parking, which was handy as we had multiple cars. The heat stays in the cottage and there was nothing cosier than lighting a fire and sitting reading my kindle at night. The location was what we wanted - quiet and peaceful, but only a short 4/5 minute drive into the Ramelton village. Barry and John were so lovely when we were checking in and any questions I sent to Barry through our stay, were answered so quickly to. Can’t wait to be back next year - thank you!see more
