“a relaxing long weekend” What a perfect way to spend the Royal Wedding Weekend together with husband, brother and sister - in - law. Our cottage was so homely, comfortable and relaxing. Our welcome basket was filled with great goodies, includng muesli, marmalade and a good local wine. All the thoughtful touches in and around the cottage were all greatly appreciated. The grounds are so beautiful and tended to perfection, with fantastic views over the local countryside. We all felt utterly relaxed and recharged after our four day break. Nicky and George are so helpful, always having time to stop and chat and offer help and advise about the local area.

“Excellent week at the medlar!!” We enjoyed fantastic week away at the medlar after a very wet week camping prior to arrival. Was very glad of the warmth and comfort!! Very well equipped cottage. Washing machine, iron, ironing board and washing line in the lovely courtyard were essential and well used. We were able to park the car with all camping equipment in designated space behind the cottage and other car that was in use every day in car park down the road which was so handy. Very impressed and will definitely recommend to others.

“Peaceful” Lovely rural cottage set just outside a peaceful village. Owner on hand when required otherwise left alone to reflect the peace and quiet. Great enclosed garden for dog. Massive outbuilding for storage or relaxing. Only criticism is that as we stayed for 2 weeks a freezer would have been nice as there are no shops in the village. Would certainly return.

“Beautiful and relaxing” The bungalow was everything it said. The location was wonderful,so relaxing and quiet. The bungalow was furnished to a very high standard, everything needed was there. The host was most helpful. The evenings spent in front of the log burner were fabulous. The garden and the field were greatly appreciated by us both and the dog!
