“Beautiful remote home form home” Booked as a 'get away from it all' break and were not disappointed. This is a lovely cottage on the Bhaltos peninsula, Isle of Lewis. The views are fantastic and the cottage is a 2 minute walk from the beach. We were fortunate with the weather which made our stay even more enjoyable. The cottage consists of 3 bedrooms - 1 double and 2 bunk bed rooms. It is clean and modern and has a family feel to the place. Also, thanks to the neighbours for their friendly welcome and fresh eggs.. We will definitely be returning.

“Perfect and tranquil.” This house lived up to the fantastic photos and more. We have friends on the island so knew our way around but wanted to experience some winter isolation with other family members new to the island. It broke all expectations in a fantastic way. The open plan living is fantastic for watching wildlife and the weather and we spent hours doing it. If you love wildlife and peace and tranquility then this is the place for you. Just glorious.

“Superb in every way” Left home in north wales with a foot of snow on the ground. Got to Lusta Cottage with only sunshine in sight. Cottage was clean, warm and cosy with views that changed every hour. Camera was overworked from the moment we arrived. The walk down by the stream via the waterfalls and along the shore took us straight to the Stein Inn. A most welcoming pub with good food, especially the fish. The location was everything we wanted and coming back each day to Lusta cottage from various sites around was always special and will live with us. We plan to go back and to advise others in our large family to book a week or two at Lusta. Thanks to Craig, Sue and Gail.

“Fabulous Holiday” Just home after a wonderful holiday in Fisherman’s Cottage. Alasdair and Irene welcomed us to their lovely cottage which is well situated for touring Harris and Lewis. The bowlful of muscles and a bottle of wine were a lovely touch. The cottage was spotless with views over the Loch to Seaforth Island. The kitchen had everything we needed, all appliances were new and in good working order. Our weather was exceptional but there was a log burner and central heating if we had needed it. We would stay in this cottage again, hopefully next year.

“Home from home” Enjoyed a short break to the beautiful Isle of Harris and Lewis and stayed here in the centre of Stornoway. The apartment is beautifully presented, well equipped and very clean with a welcome pack of basic provisions including a bottle of wine which was a very nice touch and gratefully received. Communication with Iain and Marie was excellent as was the welcome when we arrived. The apartment location is perfect with a short walk into the centre of Stornoway and an ideal base to explore the island of Lewis and Harris. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to the Island.

“Lovely cottage in a lovely area.” We thoroughly enjoyed our stay during the Islands festival week. The lovely cottage is light and airy and equipped to a high standard. The back garden is secure so it's good for any four legged visitors. Being centrally located it has shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk, while also allowing easy access to the rest of the island. We have already booked our next visit to the cottage.

“Comfortable and well located” Comfortable accommodation with an attractive lochside view. We used it as a base for touring Harris. The accommodation had everything we required and benefits from being located adjacent to a licensed grocery, so no need to head into Tarbet for food and wine. Would recommend.

“Beautiful cosy cottage with spectacular views” A beautiful, cosy cottage in an idyllic spot with amazing views of the sea loch and mountains. Clean air, peace and quiet and wildlife. After a recent refurbishment the property is immaculate and the addition of underfloor heating makes it all the more comfortable. We always receive a warm welcome - this is our 5th visit and we are looking to next time already! Thank you for a lovely week.

“Don’t hesitate, you’ll love it.” Lovely house in a beautiful setting. We dragged ourselves away from this one. View of loch is magical. Sightings everyday of porpoise, seals, terns, otters, etc. We swam in the clear waters of the loch everyday. The house is great, all nicely done, comfy and homely.

“Lovely cottage with five star facilities.” This is a lovely cottage on the Main Street in Tarbert. The accommodation was excellent and everything is of a very high standard - linen, crockery, Harris Tweed cushions!, etc. The workmanship within the cottage is first class and the style and decor is most tasteful. It was in an excellent area with parking literally on the doorstep. Nicola and Claire M were most accommodating when it was necessary to change ferry dates and easy to contact.
