“Beautiful Sunsets...great condo.” We recently stayed in Kihei at 121 Sugar Beach Resort. We loved the space the condo had to offer. The lanai was amazing as it was a ground level condo. We had an issue with the dishwasher the first day we were there and we called to have it fixed and it was taken care of immediately. The sunsets here were incredible. Great pool...nice beach walk. Due to the storm the water was a little murky so we chose to do the drive to Big Beach instead! (a must see) Would certainly recommend this condo.

“Great ocean view - secluded lanai” We've spent 10 vacations at Waila Elua and four at unit #105. The view looks over the resort to the ocean panorama. the lanai is large, and on the side of the condo away from the rest of the resort, so it is secluded. A row of trees separate in from the resort next door. Construction at the resort next door was an issue in 2012, but that is nearing completion and improves what was already an outstanding view. This condo has been upgraded with marble in the kitchen and bathroom and stainless steel kitchen appliances. The unit has a 58" TV with a DVR and DVD player. We highly recommend this unit, and alli'i Resorts is a top notch management team.

“Great location” We needed to move from our current rental quickly and alli was so great finding us another rental so we could enjoy the rest of our vacation. The location of this unit is great. Right in the middle of the complex - just a quick walk to the beach and pool. Second floor unit with an ocean view and you can hear the waves. The unit could be updated a little more but there was nothing we needed - the kitchen was fully stocked and when there was a minor maintenance item alii Resorts took care of it immediately. We were lucky enough to not have too many neighbors during our visit but I could imagine if you had a noisy neighbor below you it could be an issue. The lanai to this unit is open to the unit below and looks in their bedroom window - a little strange. There is a great pool area next to the beach with a full kitchen and barbeques if you want to have a larger get together. We didn't use it much because our unit had its own barbeque. I did notice the pool area being used by people who were not staying at Elua Village. There is no lock or code on the gate and locals know this. Can't wait to go back and do business with alii Resorts - they were awesome.

“Sunset on the Deck” Really enjoyed #2106 and the time we spent on Maui. The condo was convenient to the Shops at Wailea and everything else. Most importantly the sunsets were spectacular. The condo was very functional with beds for 5 plus a sofa bed in living room if needed. One caution here is that it is basically on the 3rd floor and carrying baggage and groceries up and down the steps was not fun. No elevator to use here. It is also a very long walk to the main pool.

“Excellent Vacation at Makena Surf” The unit was well described on the website, but didn't do it justice. All of the furniture and appliances were in excellent conditions. The bedding was great. The view was incredible. The beach right outside the unit was idyllic. Enough people to make it interesting, but never crowded. The beach chairs and cooler in the unit were excellent as were the ground's outdoor showers. Swimming was good off the beach, as was the body surfing. Snorkeling is excellent in the morning. Saw up to 5 sea turtles at once. Lots of coral and fish also viewed. The location is excellent. The pool was clean and uncrowded. I could go on, but you get the picture. You won't be disappointed. The crew at ali'i were excellent. They recommended beaches, restaurants, and things to do. They provided an excellent guide book. Check in and out was a breeze. They also booked us a discounted luau one night. Be warned - you have to go up two flights of stairs to the unit.

“Beautiful view, friendly staff, uncomfortable funiture” We have stayed at Makena Surf at least a half a dozen times. It's our favorite spot. This experience was truly enjoyable. The unit was clean, well maintained and the view unmatched. As the vacation went on we became annoyed with the the comfort and size of furniture. It is small, old, tired, and out of style. The cushions slip off the sofa and loveseat if more than one person sits on them. Our vacation nearly perfect, but can't sit and relax and enjoy the view! Patio furniture provided more comfort.

“Second to none...” We stayed in Kyle's unit (306) in late July. Although our travel plans were unexpectedly changed at the last minute because of United airlines and Tropical Storm Flossie, Kyle was very understanding and accommodating. I can vouch for everything the other reviewers have written. The setting was beautiful, and watching the surf and the surfers from the Lanai was a great way to begin and end the day as we enjoyed the spectacular sunsets. The unit was private, clean, modern, equipped with a full complement of snorkeling, boogie boards and other toys. It was also remarkably quiet (other than the sound of the surf), and the location was convenient to Kailua and conveniences. A small, friendly grocery store was located right across the street. When we return to Kona, we will not look elsewhere!
