“Perfect Base for exploring the new forest!” If you're looking for romantic getaway to the new forest, look no further than sweetslade. The whole weekend was glorious. Sweetslade is quite frankly the perfect base for exploring the forest. The finish to the property was top drawer with every mod con you could wish for. Within walking distance to the best sunday lunch you'll ever have at the Rose and Thistle pub. Generally perfect. Would definitely stay again!

“A great stay” Had a great stay. Very clean and tidy and modern decor with fab beach-style garden, opening onto actual beach. Very quiet and peaceful and very convenient for the Hayling Island Sailing Club where my two boys were attending the Opi Open. Owner, Claire, was very helpful too. Couldn't fault it. Will come again.

“Great location” Amazing location and pet friendly accommodation and well equipped Forest walks on the door step ! WiFi was intermittent which was a bit disappointing We were made to feel welcome as the log burner was already heating the room when we arrived and some very tasty home made biscuits were there for us we would definitely go back again

“Want to go back!” We have just spent a glorious weekend in the New Forest, made all the lovelier by the very comfy and beautifully turned out barn owned by Chris and Heidi. They themselves couldn't have been more helpful in suggesting local cycling routes and pubs for us, and were very happy to accommodate our needs. The girls had the run of their beautiful garden and a lot of fun with their little girl, so they couldn't have been happier. When we got in the car to go back to London the children were actually crying as they didn't want to leave!

“Forest View” A beautiful house in an excellent location, all we were hoping for and more. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, so much so we are looking to replace ours at home now!. One minor point, it would have been nice to have had the heating maybe switched on the day before our arrival as it was freezing and took almost the whole day to warm right through. As I say just a minor point as once on it was very efficient throughout our stay.

“Well equipped flat in a beautiful city.” Took us a little while to get used to the trains, we are from the northern dales so quite a shock. However, the proximity of the city centre and the abundance of public transport far outweighed the noise of the trains.

“An amazing family break!” I would like to thank Jayne and Chris for a wonderful 5 day break with my mother and sister in law and six children. The house really was a home from home and we all felt very settled and relaxed there. The house is lovely but it's the gardens and Forset that just blow you away! We saw Deer, and heard Owls of an evening. My little boy (4) loves tractors and Chris let him have a ride on his lap on the tractor when they were helping him in the garden. A great tip if you have kids is to take walkie talkies! They can really explore the woods and look for animals but you can still keep in touch. The kids really loved their Labrador 'Copper' too, who really enjoyed a fuss! We hope to return next year too. X

“It was a little nice cottage, we were all very happy” The Furniture is simple but functional and aestethic Located near by the attractions of Winchester as Cathedral etc and near by the Itchen with a attractive footpath along the river Winchester has a lot of nice Restaurants and Pubs all near the cottage We cooked often, the kitchen was good equipped, apart from the knifes...We bought 2 and left them in the kitchen. I hope you understand my english, perhaps I did not use the right words. In this case sorry about eventually misunderstandings

“Ideal Comfortable Forest Cottage” Located directly opposite the open forest, with ponies and cattle grazing, this is a great base for a weekend break. We were a party of seven adults and a young child, and the cottage felt spacious when we were all seated. We dined in a couple of nights and easily fitted around the dining table. The shower was good and provided plenty of hot water for us all. Close to Lymington and other places to visit. Communication with the owner Johnathon was very good. We had a lovely time and hope to return.

“Wonderful break” I stayed at the Summer House with my son & two grandchildren. The house was welcoming and cosy, with a note from the housekeeper & the keys readily available. It had everything (and more) that we needed for a wonderful week away. We loved the decor, the layout & everything about the Summer House. We would love to return.

“Gem on the south coast!” We loved this house. Location is ideal, very close to the beach and within easy reach of many places to visit. Inside is fantastic, it has been refurbished to a very high standard and is extremely comfortable and well equipped, home from home. We also made full use of the outside space and enjoyed the lovely views. We definitely want to go back, alas our holiday was too short!

“Perfect” This is a beautiful cottage...kept to a high standard. Christine (the owner) is friendly approachable and knowledgable of the area. We went there for one main attraction and she suggested and came up with good ideas for the rest of our stay. Everything is clean, fresh and modern within this beautiful thatched cottage. The surrounding garden is also beautiful. We had a BBQ on our 1st night. Everything to cook with is supplied. Perfect. Perfect weekend thanks to the owner.

“Wonderful Willow Cottage” We had a lovely time in Willow Cottage, it was a real "Home from Home", so well equipped, even with tea, coffee and milk left for our first cuppa on arrival. Everything was of a high standard and we were very comfortable in the cottage. It would be lovely in the summer with the patio and garden accessed through the fabulous bi-fold doors from the kitchen. It was quiet and peaceful but still only a short way to get on the main road to get out and about which was perfect for us. Photos on the website are a true reflection and the cottage which exceeded our expectations, we would recommend and hope to visit again.
