Slovenia, the first but not the last time!

We enjoyed our 2 week stay in this lovely 3 bedroomed apartment.The accomodation is well looked after, offers plenty of room and is well furnished. The facilities allow relaxed living and all you need for a quiet night in after a great day walking, kitchen, television, DVD et al. It was lovely to be in a rural setting, but not isolated, with local Slovenian people as neighbours. We had many enjoyable days: walking up the forested hillside to the cafe with fantastic views, walking to Bled although we drove most days! Hiring bikes in Bled (great value), enjoying the countrside in the open is both enjoyable and invigorating. Walk or cycle by the clear rivers where locals are fishing for trout. Bled is both nearby and beautiful. Take a relaxing walk round the lake, visit the church by boat, enjoy afternoon tea on the waterfront, and pick from any number of eateries which offer variety but also excellent food and great value across the board. We drove the Julian Alps and returned on the train, fantastic. This apartment is in a lovely setting, has excellent views and is well placed to support a great holiday. You can even fit ina short break in Croatia as well! Slovenia offers great value but is also very clean and tidy, and absolutely beautiful. I would recommend to anyone with one proviso, give the Starsky and Hutch DVD a miss, absolutely awful! … see more

Beautiful Bled

The apartment was spacious, bright and clean and we were very comfortable there, it had everything we needed, fabulous corner sofa, very large and comfortable, with large tv and wifi. All essential kitchen items and an amazing shower. The apartment had everything we needed and more. Beautiful location with plenty to do, the weather was warm enough for us to swim in the lake, which my 3 year old loved, the surrounding areas are stunning and we also enjoyed a trip to the capital Ljubljana. A wonderful holiday in a comfortable apartment in a superb location.

We were looked after extremely well from the moment we arrived. The accommodation is very comfortable and pretty, with good facilities and everything spotlessly clean. Boza and Borut were unfailingly helpful and hospitable with nothing being too much trouble. Bohinjska Bela is a beautiful village and is situated in an ideal location for exploring the surrounding countryside and mountains. … see more

Cosy place with gorgeous views

My wife and I stayed here for a few days. Aside from being pretty small, it was a delightful place to stay. The kitchen was well equipped, even had a dishwasher! The view from the back looking over lake Jesna and the mountains was stunning, it's at the base of the famous Vrsic pass, and the hostess/owner was very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here. Comfortable, cute house in a quiet village near Bled.

We enjoyed the house and the surrounding area. This was a nice location for taking day trips to Ljubliana and several hiking areas. It was nice to be close to Bled but not in the middle of the tourist area. Stuart, the property owner, was very responsive to all of our questions. He sends out a large packet of information before you come to the house. Make sure you bring out his directions before you come because it would have been very hard to find the house and the parking space without them. However, his directions are perfect, so keep them with you! We hope others enjoy their vacation to Slovenia as much as we did! … see more
