“Lovely spacious cottage with fabulous views, peace and quiet and a great base to explore the Ring of Kerry.” Gorteen is spacious, clean and well laid out. As a family of 4 with a 6 and 4 year old it was perfect. The facilities were great with central heating and an open fire for cooler evenings and a washer and dryer. The kitchen was well equipped and the open plan style suited us well. The views were great and we were within easy reach of the beautiful beaches at Derrynane. In addition, we enjoyed the local beach which we could walk to where the children could play safely whilst we adjourned to the cafe / bar whilst keeping an eye on them as they ran off the last burst of energy. We also enjoyed a fishing trip to catch mackerel and a boat trip out to watch seals.
