“Excellent location” A great place to stay. Lovely house with everything you will need. Milk and tea and coffee is there for you when you arrive which a just what you need after a long journey. The owner David was great to deal with. Morrisons is just across the road and Cromer town a 2 minute walk. Can park 2 cars on the drive which is great as not easy to park in Cromer. Just walk down the road where you will find all the places to eat and drink and all the great little shops. Will definitely return here.

“A fantastic Warm and welcoming holiday home, perfect for fishing” My husband and I stayed at rainbows end brundall on 12th September 2020, it was a lovely find ( the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow ) every thing we needed was there, Rainbows end was warm, cosy and relaxing and we didn’t want to leave. My husband had a great week fishing from the garden. Can’t wait to go back to this little Gem.

“Cosy cottage” We stayed at Pollywiggle in April, four adults and two little dogs. We found the cottage warm and welcoming, with all you need for an enjoyable stay. We were particularly pleased with the welcome gifts too, especially the doggie one which went down very well. Would recommend.

“Very comfortable, dog-friendly cottage in a great location” We stayed here for a long weekend with our dog, and had a lovely time. The cottage was very clean, warm and comfortable, well-equipped and with an open fire to make everything cosy (you need to bring your own wood and coal, though). The secure back yard was a great place for the dog to run around in and a suntrap for breakfasts, and it's not far to the RSPB reserve and to wonderful beaches at Snettisham and Hunstanton. There's a Coop in the village for all the basics and larger supermarkets in Hunstanton. The one small drawback is the lack of Wifi, but it's in a BT-FON hotspot so easy to buy Wifi time and stay connected. I'd recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful break near a lovely coastline.

“Perfect retreat” Wanted to visit Norfolk for a few days with my daughter, best friend and doggy best friend and Pilgrims cottage was a perfect base camp for us. The cottage is lovely, roomy in all the right places with a lovely spacious front room and 2 big bedrooms. More than enough room for three plus dog and would quite happily return with more of us next time. A field and play park directly opposite was brilliant for early morning and evening short runs for the dog and the Duck Inn literally 5 min walk was perfect for some tasty food and a few drinks to end the day. More of a restaurant than pub but lovely all the same. It was too warm for us to indulge in the big beautiful fire but it looked amazing. Docking is nearest village with shops and 5 to 10 mins in car so a car is helpful. But we found a daily market in the village hall with lots lovely local fresh produce and a Spar for the other bits. Also perfectly situated to explore the local area which we did lots of! Holkham and the amazing beach and house and, Wells next-the-sea only 20-30 mins drive through lovely villages like Burnham Market which is great for a potter. Hunstanton with a mix of traditional seaside and lovely natural beach the same in the other direction. Andrew couldn’t have made us any more welcome and was helpful and responsive before during and after our stay. Couldn’t recommend this place enough and can’t wait to go back.

“Fabulous cottage!” The communication and directions were good. The location perfect for our 2 boys and dogs, with the beach, pub,2 well stocked local shops all within easy walking distance. The cottage itself was decorated beautifully with good quality bedding, towels and kitchen appliances. The small garden would have been great if the weather had been kinder. The few toys and games available were most welcome and helped to keep the children occupied. Bananagrams is a family favourite! Our family have had the best half term holiday at Sea Holly Cottage!

“Fantastic Firemans Cottage” This house was brilliant. Furnished lovely with every pot and pan you might need. Crockery, cutlery, plastic plates, cups, dishes an cutlery for the kids,everything. There were cool bags, ice blocks and a cool box if you needed to use them. It was spotlessly clean on arrival. Milk in fridge, wine, sweets and cookies on the table. If you forget something, don't worry, it'll be here! We were a family of six and we had more than enough room. Two parking spaces and friendly neibours. Beds were all very comfy with good pillows. Huge family bathroom and a shower room both with good showers. It would have been good to have instructions for cooker and washer and a bag of pegs (I forgot mine) but we worked them out so not complaining anyway. Thank you to the owners for providing such a lovely place. If I need a place for six plus again, I know where I'll look first. I hope this review will be useful to large families as it really is a gem.

“Fantastic Little Gem!” We had a lovely break away from busy Surrey! Ralph (our little dog) loved it too, he saw, smelt, heard and felt the beautiful Norfolk countryside in the Willowfen Retreat! Thank you to Amanda & John for being so accommodating and allowing us to have our family members to visit who live close by so we could have some much needed family time especially after the recent lockdown! Thank you. If you are looking for a perfect Little Gem to get away from the hustle and bustle then we would totally recommend The Willowfen Retreat!

“Excellent” Lovely cottage, very clean and a quiet location. Garden was all enclosed and perfect for our 2 dogs. Owners home is a few meters from the cottage but this wasnt an issue. Ideal for a relaxing weekend! We will stay again.

“A great place for a family or extended family” We rented Grove Farm house to celebrate my 70th birthday. It was such a good decision. There were 10 adults and 6 children and the house suited all of us. The children couldnt believe their luck when they saw swings and a slide in the garden not to mention all the other toys. The adults were able to enjoy the games room and set up some competitive rounds of table tennis and snooker!! The house easily accommodated all of us with room to spare. A great time was had by all generations.

“Cold Winter Break” Although the weather outside was cold, the cottage was extremely cosy and very well equipped. At this time of year it is very quiet which is what we like. The dogs absolutely loved it and are still recovering from the long walks.

“Getaway from it all” We booked the lodge fairly last minute, but was ideal for us and our three dogs. The enclosed front area was perfect. Angie met us on our arrival and had left fresh eggs and milk, this was totally unexpected but lovely to receive. The eggs were from her own free roaming chickens. The lodge was very clean and tidy and had everything you needed, was like home from home. The location of the lodge is at the end of road and was the last dwelling before miles of farm land. So peaceful. Lovely walks around the area and very close to Mattishall golf club if that's your thing. Will be returning again for short breaks soon.
