“Wonderful house” Family of 4 stayed during October school week. House is well situated for the harbour,it has a big spacious and interesting garden with 2 seating areas, the lower is a sun trap, theres even a garden summer house with fridge! House is well looked after, spacious, comfortable, warm with every amenity we needed. Comfortable beds, 2 really good showers. The host was very helpful and responded quick to messeages. A helpful host is a must when booking a self catering holiday accommodation. We'd highly recommend.

“Perfection” Robert and pam greeted us making us feel very welcome the hamper they left was lovely. The house is very spacious with views of the loch and everything you need, well equipped kitchen, slow cooker handy, Plenty of towels provided, spare robes for the hot tub. The boat House has electric fire, tea, coffee in the bar area with lots of comfy seats. The boat was big hit with our teenager boys, fishing on the loch very relaxing, life jackets are provided and everything well explained. The hot tub is perfectly situated on side of loch next to boathouse with built in speakers. Lads loved the table tennis in garage area great for rainy days. Board games kept us busy, full sky entertainment package in the comfortable, spacious living room loch view, snug room next door. Nearby Rockcliffe has some lovely walks and Dalbeattie forest next door is a good walk whatever the weather. The house is so spacious with two large suites upstairs and the downstairs rooms are well equipped and very comfortable. Can't wait to return next year.

“Fabulous” We stayed here for a week and it was more than we expected. The bonus was that the weather was fantastic so were able to eat out most nights watching the fabulous sunsets. Plenty of room for all our family with ample towels and beach towels provided. All the nice little touches like salt, pepper, washing up liquid, tissues, cling film, tea, coffee, sugar and a bottle of wine and box of shortbread. Would certainly recommend particularly when you can watch the sea and tide from all roomsj

“Absolutely Fabulous” Our party consisted of 4 adults and 4 children, of which the ages ranged from 10 - 80. We all had the most fabulous time. The house itself was beautifully furnished, spotlessy clean and has had alot of thought put into the design, decor and soft furnishings. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need. This spacious house easily lent itself to the age gap within the party. The children had their own chill out area between the 2 upstairs bedrooms where there is comfortable sofa's a tv/dvd player, games and books which have all been provided. The house is in a beautiful location, the living room facing out towards a large pond which has lots of water foul and the garden has a great deal of wildlife visiting at different times of the day. The house is surrounded by woodland, which also belongs to the house owner. This was invaluable as the childern, when we were at the house, were never out of it. The owner Graham was very helpful and friendly on our arrival, and the same again when we reluctantly had to hand his house back to him. We stayed here for a week, wishing when it was time for us to depart that we could have stayed longer. The weather had been on our side and we had made the most of it. There is beautiful scenery, views and beaches all within 30 mins drive. We would not hesitate to stay here again, or to recommend to a friend.

“Great break away” The cabin was perfect size for the 6 of us and equipped with everything you can think of! It’s in a quiet area which was great to just sit outside and relax, also very easy to locate Moffat Manor Country Park. Would definitely stay there again. Only downfall was when it rained the stairs and slabs got slippery and my daughter fell and hurt herself but nothing serious.

“Everything we were looking for and more” Telford Manor is a fantastic place to stay. Three families spent a very happy weekend there with lots of space for young children and adults to relax and enjoy a pre-Christmas, Christmas dinner together. We will definitely be back!

“Screel Lodge” We have been coming to the same lodge for a number of years now and have never yet had one bad word to say. The lodge is situated in a perfect location - scenic, peaceful, surrounded by wildlife and lovely walks. The lodge is perfect for families and has a lovely cosy and homely feeling about it. The lodge has all the amenities you would need for your stay and the open plan kitchen/diner/lounge makes the whole lodge feel very communal. The balcony helps for those who want to use it for wildlife spotting, particularly on an evening, where you can see badgers and fox! We saw deer and red squirrels most mornings. The lodge is a short driving distance from towns such as Dalbeattie, castle Douglas and Kirkcudbright which we enjoyed having a walk around. Bar End pub was lovely for a meal and would go back there again! Overall, another very relaxing family holiday had. Can't wait to return.
