Take an organised tour on the moor to visit the film locations for the recent box office film war horse, as well as the dramatic cornish coastline. Roadford lake nearby is another beautiful area for walking or why not discover the other nearby attractions including lydford gorge, two bridges, widecombe in the moor, castle drogo, buckland abbey as well as many national trust properties. Cycle hire is available in okehampton with the bikes being delivered to your door if required. The larger regional centres of plymouth, exeter and torbay are also nearby which offer theatres, shops, restaurants, cinemas and indoor swimming pools. Plymouth also has an ice rink and a dry ski slope. Farm activities: you are welcome to see the animals including horses, cattle, sheep and chickens.
