“Loved house and area!” We loved the cottage, it was full of character and history. The cottage had nice little welcoming touches such as tea coffee milk and household essentials. things that sometimes aren't at properties self catering and you forget. The area was beautiful and as there was still snow of the mountains the scenery was amazing. It made for great photos. The house had everything we needed and there was a great pub very close which had great atmosphere and food. The walks in the area were great and even with little ones(9-4) there were walks we all enjoyed. It was a great week and we were well rested. A nice relaxing break in beautiful surroundings

“A highly recommended cottage” As a Family we have stayed in Wastwater Cottage mostly in the autumn for the last eight years. A very comfortable, warm and well equipped cottage with many interesting and challenging walks from the door step. Two pubs within 200mtrs. both with excellent food. A highly recommended cottage in very peaceful surroundings.

“Stunning group of cottages in wonderful location” Bridge End Farm is ideally situated for a walking holiday in the Western Lakes.It has two good pubs within walking distance and it is possible to walk from the cottage for a week or more without having to resort to the car,The cottage is well appointed, comfortable and clean.The caretaker and staff who clean the cottage are very friendly and concerned to see that you enjoy your holiday.

“Fantastic, fun and friendly experience in Eskdale” Hardknott Cottage was rented for a week after Christmas and for the New Year with friends staying in adjacent cottages. We had such a great time. Whilst the weather was wet, we were able to get up onto the beautiful fells and have some quality walks in Eskdale Valley and adjacent Wasdale. The cottage itself was extremely well equipped with excellent attention to detail; the deep bath was a particular hit! Thank you Greg for all your help, your reassuring emails and your updates on the weather and flooding situation. We stayed when the weather was arguably at its worst and when many parts of the Lake District were flooded or on flood alert. Despite being adjacent to a flowing river and working mill, we were nowhere near being flooded. I would thoroughly recommend this beautiful setting for future holidays on your own or with family.

“Pint-sized perfection!” This is a fabulous little cottage right next to Whillan Beck (as the name implies!). It's probably the smallest out of the Bridge End Farm group of cottages, so may not be suitable for very tall people. There's a gorgeous view from the bedroom of the bridge over the beck towards Boot Mill, and there are shared gardens behind the property that lead down to the beck. The gardens are very spacious, so you never feel your space is being invaded! The cottage itself is immaculately presented - clean, comfortable, warm, well-equipped. It offers superb walking and cycling from the doorstep, and there are two pubs within walking distance who serve great meals. This is very highly recommended for couples who want to get away from it all and soak up the scenery - the location and views are amazing.

“Great cottage in one of the best locations in the lakes.” A beautiful cottage in a fantastic setting. The cottage had everything we needed and more. Very cosy and homely. Located in a lovely quiet part of the lakes yet most amenities not far away at all. Lots of fantastic walks from the door step.
