“Perfect for family relaxation.” After a terrible start to our holiday with a flight cancellation and then further delays we arrived at El Mirador at 22:30 ready to drop. Thankfully as soon as we opened the doors the tension and tiredness started to ease, we dropped our bags, grabbed a cold drink and just sat for half an hour on the terrace enjoying the warm evening breeze and the wonderful views. The apartment itself is very well furnished with everything you need for a family holiday, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen and utility, lounge area and the fantastic terrace to enjoy the peace and quiet with superb views. The beds were comfortable and the shutters on the rear facing windows keep the apartment cool and dark enough to sleep well during sunrise. The pool areas (we used 4 of the 6) were all well laid out with toilets and children's pools, there were days when we had a whole pool to ourselves. (Tip - take a left at the bottom of the steps next to the waterfall past the pool and follow the path up the hill to the top pool) We shopped for food at the La Canada shopping mall near Marbella (about 20 mins) which is huge and well priced, the local supermarkets (about 8 mins) were slightly more expensive but still well equipped. We used the barbecue a couple of times and cooked for ourselves using the oven and found everything we needed In the apartment. Final tips A car is essential as the apartment is located up in the hills, this was perfect for us as we wanted peace and quiet, if you are looking for a lively resort this is not the place for you. We visited Ronda, Cadiz and Jerez which were all great to see. We ate at the clubhouse once which was very reasonably priced and good quality, they have special offers on Tuesday and Friday but would recommend booking in advance whichever night you go as it seemed busy when we passed. We would also highly recommend Vente El Jinete which was about a 15 minute drive, more expensive but wonderful setting and superb food and service. The only minor improvements to point out would be that we found the sofa (bed) in the lounge area to be a bit uncomfortable when used as a sofa and it would be nice to have a TV in the main bedroom to relax and watch a movie. These are very minor issues though and overall we would highly recommend the apartment and the complex to anyone looking for a relaxing break in beautiful surroundings.

“Stress free family holiday” We had a fabulous holiday. Dealing was Tom was easy and stress free. Very quick to reply to my emails, always helpful and made us feel at ease. The apartment for us was perfect. It provided a great base for us to explore the area. We were very lucky with the weather, it was glorious and we made good use of the pools. We were also lucky as we had the pools to ourselves for most of our stay. We would love to come back and stay and would recommend the apartment to our friends and family. We went to Gibralter and went to Marbella, both about a 20 min drive. We found some nice beaches along the coastline, and we found Puerto de la Duquesa, gorgeous place with lovely resturants and bars with such a relaxed atmosphere. Perfect.
