“Wonderful stay!” Gorgeous sweet cottage - real home from home. We arrived with our little one and the cottage was very clean. Very modern, lovely wood furniture and really comfy beds. Lovely, warm central heating and a fab real fire which is cosy of an evening. In a great location for Chester, Nantwich and Whitchurch. Also a couple of miles from the fabulous ice cream factory and the candle workshops - were the kids can make candles. Have booked to go again next year. Can't wait! “Exceeds Expectations!” We enjoyed the most wonderful weekend in this luxury apartment. Its location on the famous Groves on the banks of the River Dee and the views from the lounge and front bedroom absolutely stunning. Luxuriously furnished and extensively equipped - if you needed something it was probably there. Sarah and her team were lovely and couldn't do enough for you. We had lunch in the cafe bar below on arrival - dining at a table in the window and watching the boats passing along the river. The food was excellent, particularly the full English breakfast. We have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation and we will most certainly be back there.

“Miss” Fantastic... Comes highly recommended! We stayed in the oak lodge for a week which was perfect. We arrived after 48hours travelling and felt instantly at home. The kids (ages 2 and 6!) were all over the show with jet lag but it didn't matter that were up at 3am having breakfast as there was no-one To disturb. Well equipped, comfy, light and spacious. Gorgeous views over the welsh hills and privacy. 5 min walk to local high street, pub, pharmacy, coffee shop. 15 mins into Wrexham or Chester with supermarkets. Would definitely stay again. “A peaceful and relaxing home-from-home retreat.” We spent two nights at The Riverside Apartment in Mid-October with our two children—aged 1 and 4—and their grandma. The owner, Melanie, had set-up the apartment for us thoughtfully and immaculately; there was not a stone left unturned. Finding the apartment was easy with the directions sent in the welcome pack and parking was off the road and safe. The location was ideal, being right next to the river Dee and the park and just a couple of minutes walk through Roman Gardens into the City centre. The most striking and memorable thing about the apartment was the living area. It was great to wake up, make a drink and a piece of toast—with the supplies from the hamper left for us—and just sit back on the massive, plush corner sofa watching the Sunday morning cyclists cross the bridge over the river and the rowing boats race down towards the weir. The bedrooms are stunning too; all 3 are decorated imaginatively, have huge cosy beds, lots of storage space in traditional wardrobes and chests—and still had plenty of space for the travel cot provided. The bathrooms are modern and spotless; the hallway has space for all of your coats and shoes and there is a laundry room for good measure—this place really is the complete package. If you want to explore the sights and sounds of Chester, whilst having a tranquil base to retreat to at the end of the day; look no further than The Riverside Apartments.

“Fabulous house and location*****” This is a lovely house very clean and beautifully furnished and well equipped with everything a family might need. Great to have off road parking. We had a fantastic time thoroughly enjoyed ourselves Chester is such a lovely city to visit. For guests who plan to use the bus service I would recommend a weekly ticket as it is pricey, the marketable car park is reasonably priced and easy to find if you drive. Thank you Amanda for allowing us to stay in your super house we would recommend it to anyone. Would have rated it five but for some reason page wouldn't let me!

“Perfect Cottage, Perfect Location” We rented Douglas Cottage for a girly weekend in January. It was perfect! Just a short walk from the station with parking (by permit) for a car outside it was easy to find and just a very short walk from the shops and the sights. The cottage itself was immaculate and beautifully presented. We really couldn't fault it. Each room was distinctive and imaginatively decorated with beautiful furnishings and antiques. The bathrooms were of the highest standard as was the kitchen (although the oven was so high tech it had us flummoxed a bit, although a quick read of the instructions solved that). There was a lovely little back yard although 3 inches of snow meant we didn't try it. Barbara and Andrew were really hospitable and had left us a lovely little welcome pack with bread, milk, coffee, tea, butter and a few goodies which was really kind of them. They were also kind enough to let us stay an extra couple of hours on the Sunday, although they won't always be able to do that if they have other guests coming in, it was really nice of them to accomodate this request. All in all we had a lovely weekend and would highly recommend this cottage.

“Lovely appointed cottage, walking distance to city” We were a party of 3 adult women and hired the cottage for a week. The cottage is very well appointed and is very close to city of Chester. We hired a car for 3 of our days we were there and did some day trips into North Wales. Very easy to navigate and wondeful scenery in North Snowdonia. Lot of things to do and see. City of Chester is beautiful, very picturesque and historic. We caught a train back to London.
