Ranger Chalet - Great base for outdoors
All We Wanted and More

We were a party of different families and totaled 12 people including children aged between 18 months and fifteen years. Bradul Chalet is both spacious and well maintained, giving members of the group the opportunity to do different things at the same time. Even with music and partying in the main reception area, it was possible for the little ones to sleep at the top of the chalet with no problems. The area that Bradul Chalet is set, is one of immense natural beauty, and in my opinion can rival the likes of austria and Switzerland at less than half the price. There are many beautiful walks through mountains, forest, and parks that are waiting to be explored. We were self catering, however I am sure there are a number of local restaurants that are within easy reach. The community is served by a number of small shops for any every day requirements and the town of Bran is some 8km away where there are more shopping opportunities. Bran Castle is more commonly known as Dracula's Castle. The entrance fee here is 25 Lei for adults and 5 Lei for students. It is well worth a visit for the views and the interesting memorabilia. Although we visited in November the weather was very mild and unseasonably warm. Indeed with the blue skies and the temperatures in the high twenties it could have been the middle of summer! Finally I must mention Ioana and her husband who I think manage the lets on behalf of Ioana's parents. Nothing was too much trouble for them in ensuring our stay was excellent. I hope to return to Bradul Chalet again as there is much more I would like to see and do there. I suggest you will not find a better base for your holiday be it a weekend or a month! This is a nice, hospitable and comfortable place to stay in a very beautiful region of Romania that is worth vis

We (2 adults+1 baby) stayed in Apt, which looks more like somebody\'s home, rather than a pension/hotel. We liked that. It was important for us to be located in the downtown, as we were close to some nice spots to visit. Rooms were really warm, bathroom had everything necessary (hair dryer, etc). History & Style in Piata Sfatului
Truly Amazing

I can't even begin to do this apartment justice. We stayed for 3 nights with our 22 and 15 year old children. We wish we were staying longer. The apartment is actually even better than in the photographs on line if that can be believed. It overlooks the main square and waking to a blanket of snow, it just looks like a scene from a fairytale. We enjoyed catching the bus to the nearby skiing area, wandering around the old town and eating Langos and drinking vin fiert from the Christmas markets right outside the front door. The apartment is actually very very spacious. It was more than big enough for the 4 of us. It even has a washing machine which we found to be a real bonus. The beds are comfy, the apartment is toasty warm, the decor lovely, the shower amazing. If there is a better place to stay in Brasov I can't imagine it. … see more

The house was easy to find(we were given clear instructions). 5 Star Rental!

The house was spacious and very well decorated with all mod cons. The garden was lovely with stunning views and water features, not forgetting the BBQ which we used twice. The owner's parents live next door and although they don't speak English they were very kind and helpful, helping us get the BBQ started and bringing us fresh eggs. Sighisoara itself is a lovely place, very colourful and full of history and only a 5-10 minutes walk from the house. Good restaurants too.(Will add some reviews later.) … see more

Fantastic log home with spectacular views

This is a lovely log home, very warm, cosy and homely. Extremely well fitted and suitable for any age range but not for anyone with mobility problems. We were a group of 7 adults and spent Christmas there, unfortunately there was no snow due to the unusually warm weather across Europe at the moment but this didn't spoil our enjoyment. Ema was extremely helpful, she put up the Christmas tree and decorated it beautifully, she also arranged the purchased of a turkey for our Christmas meal. She gave very helpful advise as to where to visit and what was interesting. A car is a definite must and something suitable to be able to negotiate the unmade, narrow, up hill road leading to the house; I have to say that if we had very low temperatures and snow, accessing the house by car would have been very difficult if not impossible.
