“Gorgeous View in Upscale Neighborhood” I stayed in this apartment for the third time this year in September, and my husband I are returning in January. This has actually been our home away from home for the last six years in Puerto Rico. We have been coming here multiple times every year. This apartment is in a terrific location on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. The view from the balcony and from inside the apartment is absolutely jaw-dropping and does not exist from any of the 5-star hotels in the neighborhood where the daily rates are 3-6 times more expensive for a bedroom, not an apartment. The neighborhood is upscale with hotels such as El San Juan, the Intercontinental, and the Ritz Carlton within walking distance. They all have fabulous casinos where you can enjoy free drinks, free warm sandwiches, and free soup while you have fun playing. The interior of the apartment is extremely nice with a very comfortable king-size bed with night tables and lamps on either side, a huge flat screen TV with a few hundred channels (all major US channels included), comfortable sofa, desk and chair, nice bathroom with a vanity area just outside, which makes it very convenient for two people to get ready in the morning simultaneously, a nice kitchenette area, and plenty closet and drawer space. The balcony is quite large, and you can enjoy breakfast or other meals there, as well as evening cocktails, while looking at the gorgeous view of the ocean. The beach is your back yard and is absolutely beautiful. Towels are available in the building to take to the beach, and you can rent lounges and parasols all along the beach. The apartment building, which is actually part hotel, part time share, and part private apartment ownership, has a beautiful pool and whirlpool, a pool bar, indoor restaurant for lunch and dinner, indoor bar, 24-hour front desk, 24-hour security, taxis at the front door, and a mini mart that is open approximately 15 hours a day that carries all essentials, even beer and alcohol. Walgreens pharmacy is down the block, and wonderful restaurants are everywhere within walking distance. Additional restaurants are also available within a 5-minute taxi ride. The bus to Old San Juan stops right down the block. Taxis in front of the building are also available. The owner, Isabel is very delightful, professional and congenial. Her daughter-in-law Millie is simply charming, as well, and both are such a pleasure to deal with. They provide top level customer service and are very responsive to any of your requests. You are in good hands when you stay in this apartment. Also, your deposit is returned within just a few days following your check out. Staying in this apartment is experiencing “paradise on earth!”
