“Super Relaxing” First of all, I must say, that this is a relaxing place to be. The apartment is a home from home and the complex is just never busy, even when it’s busy – it’s a tardis. This was our first time in Turkey, so we were a little apprehensive about that and it was the first self catering holiday after many years of being pampered on all inclusive. We just didn’t know what to expect. We, didn’t need to worry at all. Nicola made the booking process so smooth, even answering our seemingly endless stream of questions of what if and how to. A transfer from and to Dalaman airport was arranged, pick up no problem, even an unscheduled stop for water on the way. The unsung asset on site is Nadine. Not only is she a mine of local information, but, when my son was unfortunate to have an ear infection, she sorted out local medication for us. The apartment itself is well appointed. It felt like a home from home. Then proportions and layout are such that we never got under each other’s feet and on days when we wanted to just hang around the pool and use the apartment, it felt just right. We could sit on the balcony and supervise our older children swimming and playing in the pool. The layout meant that we could split upstairs for us (parents) and downstairs for them (offspring). Upstairs we had our own balcony which we utilised for civil adults only breakfasts. The children made ample use of the in house DVD player. There was a mound of storage, and tons of hangers for clothes. As mentioned before, the site never seemed crowded even when it was busy. What helped was the apartments having their own sunbeds. We were asked to use only our own sunbeds, but, some apartments were not. The location of the complex is perfect too. The beach is just across a not busy road. All along the beach to the left and the right are bars and restaurants. Turn right and you quickly reach the surf club, location for the opening scenes of Skyfall. Carry on to the end and you reach our favourite on the beach bar, Mekan. Turn left, and you walk towards Calis itself, more fantastic on the beach restaurants with the best sunset views ever. Try the Caretta Beach restaurant. All the beach bars have a very bohemian feel to them and do not hurry you along, on more than one occasion we spent the whole afternoon lounging whilst the kids played. You can jump on the inexpensive Dolmus into Calis, which is more hustle and bustle, or, it’s only about 20 minute stroll. Would we go back back? Absolutely, location 10/10, amenities 10/10 and apartment 10/10.

“best apartment ever” We have just returned from the Saros apartments and had a fantastic time, the views from the balcony were amazing and we spent a lot of time on there watching the world go by. The apartment was of a hight standard with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The sunset boat trip is to be recommended as is the trip to Saklikent Gorge although when booking beware the water rafting costs an extra 30lire and you get drenched so take spare clothes. The only downside to the holiday was the beach was not the cleanest it's a stone beach so you need water shoes to get in the sea and there were lots of cigarette ends everywhere.
