Visit one of the many pretty fishing villages and hidden coves in the south, such as polperro, looe or mevagissey. Take a fishing trip from the picturesque harbour at nearby fowey or perhaps visit the tall ships at charlestown. Take a stroll around historic restormel castle in lostwithiel, the cornish capital for antiques; it has a choice of fine restaurants and pubs, where local musicians often play. The lost gardens of heligan are also within a short drive along with the eden project 4 miles away.
