Located in the well-known scenic village of Bedoin, Provence. Beautiful views of Mont Ventoux and surrounded by famous vineyards like Chateau-Neuf du Pape. Close to village walking, yet charming and secluded sitting on close to an acre of land all enclosed by property walls and private gate.
Fully equipped kitchen. House is comfortable and rustic. This is a very relaxing home. I kept it simple yet elegant and functional. Unique little nooks around the place. This is NOT a model home. A perfect place to unwind, relax and enjoy life and reconnect with yourself. The house definitely has an atmosphere of calm and welcome. A good motto come to be yourself. Each room is different. Furniture is elegant. It has 4 bedrooms. One is a mezzanine and one is adjacent to master bedroom. (Wonderfully bright room and can be used to play and see the views or as a children's room.)
Walking distance to shopping. Great hiking and biking trails. Sightseeing and well-known fine restaurants. 25 minutes from Avignon TGV and one hour from Marseille Airport.
House is on several small levels not stories but interesting levels which makes it very attractive and unique. There are views from all the bedrooms. It's truly a very special house. You can walk to the village in 5 minutes to go shopping and lots of really good restaurants in the village itself. All walking distance.
Bedoin has the largest mountain in the region. The famous Mont Ventoux where the Tour de France goes I'm not sure every year but it's a dreamland for cycling lovers.
Yes the house has lots of charm and completely private and secluded yet short walking distance to village. It's a key point as older couples feel secure and safe not being lost in the middle of nowhere. Though I get that some people love that :)
There's a mezzanine with a bedroom upstairs. Ideal for a guest. Sleeps one. The downstairs could be made into a sleeping sofa bed or TV room. It's like a French salon. Bathroom is right there.
On the first floor is a small very charming bedroom with a double bed. Views of the village church and property to the East. It has its private bathroom.
On the second floor is a big 60 m2 master bedroom with its own bathroom and 28m2 terrace. In addition on yet
another level it has an dependent second bedroom (30m2), ideal for kids. Great view of the village and Mont Ventoux.
A fourth bathroom more like 1/2 bath right now behind kitchen. Very convenient. laundry room is behind kitchen with w/d.
House has a fireplace. Kitchen has state of the art German appliances with dishwasher as well. Microwave. Internet and phone available if requested. Kitchen fully equipped. Glasses, plates, silverware, Summer trays and glasses.
There are 4 terraces all together. Lots of sunshine in the morning across the whole downstairs and same in the evening on the other side which is dining room and living room side. I'll provide pictures. There's a stereo. TV. I'm planning to install a plasma TV in mezzanine's salon.
House can accomodate 5 with a couple children. Or it is also very cozy for a couple who simply want to use the first floor bedroom or master bedroom. Most I've had is 7 adults as a family.
I redid the façade last year. White. I also have a couple plans for the property which stretches under an acre and has beautiful rock cliffs along it. You can hike all the way to the top and watch all around the village, Mont Ventoux and the country side. It's pretty stunning.
Walls are very thick (60 cm+) so house keeps cool in the Summer. More if you keep shutters almost closed. Bedoin has the best Monday food and crafts market in the region.
There are so many vineyards close by. Lakes and water holes. The ocean is about 1 hour away by car. We're 2 and a half hours from St. Tropez, Cannes et Nice a little further by freeway.
Bedoin has the largest mountain in the region. The famous Mont Ventoux, Vaucluse is a cyclist’s paradise. No doubt about it, cycling through the Vaucluse is one of the very best ways to enjoy the contrasting landscapes, the winding country roads, and feel the life and beauty here. Mountain-biking trails abound in the hills and mountains in Vaucluse. Discover all the circuits: for exploring the Côtes du Rhône vineyards, the lavender fields and highlands in the Sault area, the range of hills known as the Dentelles de Montmirail, the Roman presence in Vaison-la-Romaine, the beautiful hilltop villages in the Luberon, the Sorgues area, the Nesque river canyons, …
Mount Ventoux is legendary as one of the most grueling climbs in the Tour de France.
