Many thanks for taking the time to write a review for Rowdale Cottages. We are pleased to hear that you found the cottage delightful, homely, practical and clean and tidy. The solid walls are a typical feature of this period, although they can inhibit the wifi availability which is located in the next buildings it does ensure there is no sound through the wall from neighbouring cottages. We are pleased that the bathroom facilities matched your expectations and. that you enjoyed the local facilities, in particular, Chatsworth House and the beautiful Peak District villages which are delightful and attract a lot of visitors; although this does sometimes mean that roads are busy but, as you say, it is quiet at night with no traffic. It is kind of you to mention that communication was excellent as we are always grateful for feedback on any aspect of the service you have received - this enables us to maintain high standards and keep our valued guests happy.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review The Old Diary we are delighted that you experienced a warm welcome at the cottage and felt it was comfortable and cosy around the log burner in the evenings. It is great that you felt the cottage lacked for nothing, the bathrooms are modern to your liking and the beds are comfortable . We are delighted that we are getting it right for a lot of our guests and really appreciate you spending the time to post a review and that you would highly recommend this cottage and want to spread the word about what is on offer at Rowdale Farm Holidays Cottages and on the doorstep. We appreciate the reviews we get, as it does help us to improve what we offer, however, we appear to be getting it right for many guests and it is great to get to hear when a cottage and our services have met expectations as well as when guests feel it has fallen short. So a big thank you for taking the time and we look forward to welcoming you to Rowdale Farm Holiday Cottages and this lovely part of the peaks again in the near future.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review the cottage we are pleased that you were delighted with the cottage and found it full of character. We are pleased to hear that that you experienced a fun time around the pond with your children. It seems that you made the most of your visit by exploring the area and accessing the Monsal Trail through the fields behind the cottage. We are happy that the large dining area, comfy leather sofas and cosy log burner were to your liking and you enjoyed the crisp white bed linen. it is nice to get feedback on the facilities and that the cottage was exceptionally clean and plenty of crockery was provided for your group. Parking is limited close to the cottage, hence we allocate spaces to ensure everyone know where to park and as you comment, the additional private parking is in close proximity and still on the premises. We appreciate all the comments our guests make as it does help us to improve what we offer, however, we appear to be getting it right for many guests and it is great to get to hear when a cottage and our services have met expectations and that guests are very satisfied. So thank you for taking the time and we look forward to welcoming you to Rowdale Farm Holiday Cottages for a lovely get together for you to introduce other family and friends to this lovely part of the country.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review Dale Cottage and provide generous feedback; we are pleased that it ticked all the boxes for your group. We are delighted that you found the cottage lovely, comfortable and cosy and that the towel rental worked for your group. It is great that you felt everything you needed was available and very encouraging for us that we are getting it right a lot of the time. Whilst we really appreciate all the reviews we get, it is particularly nice to hear when a cottage has met guests expectations as guests appear to be more inclined to respond when they have experienced a difficulty rather than when it has been great. So a big thank you for taking the time, we are pleased that you have found our cottages and we look forward to welcoming you to Rowdale Farm Holiday Cottages again in the near future.

Thank you for taking the time to review the Coach House; we appreciate that this takes your time and we are grateful as this helps us to ensure we are providing suitable accommodation for all the different groups we have the pleasure of hosting. Firstly, As you mentioned, each cottage has allocated parking for guests, which should always be available during your stay and we apologise that another guest chose to use your space. We allocate parking so guest arriving later or popping out will always find their space available. We trust that guests will be considerate to other guests. As soon as we were aware of this error we contacted the guests first thing the next morning and as you said they removed the vehicle straight away. We find that our guests are generous towards others and are quick to rectify matters if this is mentioned to them. We are sorry that you had high expectation that you felt were not met in this cottage; we have a lots of guest using the cottages and many prefer the more traditional style of cottage and return each season to this cottage. Each of the cottages are different as we have a variety of guests that visit the Peak District, for example the Old Dairy is more contemporary barn style cottage with a large open plan living area which might not suit guests looking for a cosy traditional cottage We are pleased that you reported it is not a bad place and that the facilities and comfort was not a concern to your party. We have not had any comment relating to dust previously so we will discuss this with the team who service the cottages twice weekly. We believe the pictures are a good representation of the cottages, however, we will review these in light of your comments and update if required as some furnishings may have been replaced. The cottage has a combi boiler so should always provide hot water to both shower rooms, we offer our apologies that you experienced a problem and that this was not brought to our attention at the time. We would expect any guest with a difficulty to advise us of this so we have the opportunity of investigating and rectifying matters for them and ensuring all is good for the next guest too. Both showers appear to working fine when tested. There is a mobile number on the information in the cottages. so we are sorry you did not manage to contact the owners on the evening, and as you mentioned, we did receive your email which was responded to immediately. Unfortunately the cottage mobile telephone reception can be patchy in more rural areas. As you have stated this is important to you it would have been useful to know this when you were booking ; if you had discussed your particular requirements we could have advised on the most suitable choice of cottage. The neighbouring cottage, the Old Diary has wifi for guest that prefer this, however, as you have recognised, we do have guest that prefer not to have these facilities on their vacation. We offer self catering accommodation and as you have mentioned and advise guests in advance on what they can expect and what they need to bring with them. Most guest do cater accordingly, additionally, we can offer a towel rental package from the local laundry service; this can be requested in advance for guest convenience. We find increasingly that guests arrange a delivery for food and provisions so they can relax enjoy their time, all the major supermarkets deliver to the cottages and the local stores are open 7 days a week ,some till 10pm! We are pleased that you took the time to review the cottage, if we are aware of what our guests require we will advise which cottage may suit them better so they thoroughly enjoy their visit to the Peak Park and we hope you will visit the area again and would be delighted to welcome you again, perhaps at a different cottage at Rowdale Farm Holiday Cottages.
