“Fabulous cottage in the Peak District!” We had a fantastic stay at Daleside. It is a beautiful cottage that has been decorated to a really high spec and has all the home comforts you need. It is also in a perfect location, close to Bakewell and in a lovely, picturesque village with a hotel that serves great food and drinks within 5 minutes walking distance. There are great walks from the doorstep and a beautiful riverside close by. The views from the cottage are spectacular and we really enjoyed sitting on the veranda looking out over the countryside each evening. Having our own garden was also a real bonus. We have stayed in lots of holiday cottages and this was one of the best by far. A fabulous, relaxing week in the Peaks!

“Really a hidden gem!!!” The Barn@The Old Bakery is an ideal location to explore The Peak District! We are so glad we found this little gem in the picturesque village of Youlgrave. The owners are very helpful and friendly and gave us some very useful information. The property itself is clean and well equipped. It felt like home. We'll certainly be back! “Perfect” Just what the doctor ordered. Stayed for four nights. It might have been chilly outside but the cottage was toasty warm. Lovely touches with the homemade cake and freshly laid eggs from the chickens in the field next door (which they share with two adorable Shetland ponies). The cottage was full of character with the added bonus of being comfortable and had every mod con (including hair straighteners!!). Definitely want to visit again. Ignore the sock, my size three feet for always trying to break free.

“Perfect cottage in a perfect place” Great little cottage, right in the thick of things. Opposite a good pub with amenities close by and great walks from your door step - we really couldn't have asked for much more. The view is beautiful, and I really felt like the owner cared about our visit. She checked on us twice, which was really reassuring and she even sent back a ring we'd left by accident FREE OF CHARGE! Incredible value for money - will be going again as soon as I can!

“Great Holiday” Beautiful Location - don't let the steep access put you off - you can drive to bottom when leaving to pack the car. We had a great time - like stepping back in time. Youlgreave is a lovely village and great base for visiting the peak. You can walk through some of the most picturesque dales from the house, stopping off for great food and beer in local villages. Cottage is well maintained and very comfortable - no complaints, but toilet needs fixing.
