“A little piece of Heaven” This luxurious apartment offered everything we could possibly need. The location was absolutely perfect just a short walk from the village where there is an abundance of excellent restaurants and pubs offering craic and entertainment. The accommodation provides excellent views from both the living room and main bedroom. Alvor also offers an excellent bus service and we went to Vilamora, Monchique and pria da Lux. 5* hotels provide spa facilities should you wish to indulge yourself all within walking distance. The service from our arrival at Faro airport where our driver was waiting for us to our departure was perfect. Michael's advice on where to eat and drink was very helpful. We would certainly recommend this apartment to our friends and we hope to be back to this apartment later this year.

“Beautiful accommadation” Lovely apartment. Huge space! Bedrooms fantastic. 2 showers a blessing for the girls! Best place ee have stayed in by a mile. Lovely pool and family atmosphere. Hilly walk back home every evening but no problem. Kept is fit! Home inless than 10 mins from Old Town Square. Would recommend this highly. Thank you.

“Wonderful Holiday” We had a really enjoyable holiday in Villa Francesca in June 2011. The beautiful villa, the garden/pool and the tennis courts next door were all ideal for our group which included our adult children and small grandchildren. The owners were kind enough to put childproof fencing on the upstairs balcony and this, together with a gate for the stairs in the villa gave us great peace of mind during our holiday. We played some golf on the nearby courses and the charming village of Carvoiero with plenty of excellent restaurants was just a few kilometres away. We would heartily recommend Villa Francesca to any family group and we hope to stay there again in the future.

“Excellent Apartment” This was one of the best apartments I have ever stayed in. It was ground floor and had a lovely big patio with table and chairs and sun loungers. And a gate which led out to the pool area. It had everything, dishwasher, washing machine, sky tv, 2 very large bedrooms with sliderobes, 2 bathrooms, large lounge. I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to stay in.

“RELAXING, LOVELY AND FULL OF CHARM” The villa was exactly as described, spotlessly clean and had every facility you would ever want and more! It is so comfortable and so quiet and peaceful. The grounds are filled with a huge variety of fruit trees and the views are beautiful. It was such a treat to be able to pick the fruit and also to be able to have fresh eggs every day supplied by the lovely hens. The welcome gifts of wine, olive oil, sardines, coffee and more were very much appreciated. Fernando came during the week to clean the pool with even more gifts, so thoughtful and generous. From the moment we stepped off the plane and were met by Fernando and Lucretia we received a lovely welcome and were provided with a wonderful service. Our flight was late and they waited so patiently. Magda and Nelson were very helpful both before and during our stay, ready to answer any questions we had and made us feel very welcome. Sara was also very helpful and friendly. She gave us a lot of useful tips on places to visit and directions. Web really had a lovely holiday, thank you so much.

“Relaxing break” Just finishing up another great 10 days in this super apartment. Holidayed here before and loved it so was looking forward to returning. Definitely a home from home . The owners are constantly improving the apartment. Beds are very comfortable. Tv has all the channels . The complex is nice and quiet. It was a great relaxing break . “Excellent accommodation, family friendly in a great location.” We arrived at 9.30pm and were met by Fiona, the owner's representative, who was very helpful. The ground floor accommodation has three bedrooms, two bathrooms (one on-suite), a lounge, kitchen area (including all mod-cons) and a very large outside patio area which was great for our two grandchildren, especially as it was shaded from the late afternoon sun. There is a shared pool area (electronic/fob access only) only a short walk away which was excellent and well maintained. There is a magnificent beach 5-10 minute walk. We only had one problem in that the aircon in the master bedroom was not working and could not be fixed within the 7 days we were in the apartment. This was a little disappointing but did not stop the enjoyment of the holiday.

“Brilliant break” Booked the apartment for 10 nights at the end of September. The apartment was spacious with lots of outdoor space. Fantastic views over the nature reserve. The owner Carlos met us at the apartment and showed us everything. Also told us a little about Fuseta. Enjoyed every minute and would certainly book again.

“A Wonderful Holiday” What a wonderful holiday! The villa is just amazing with everything you need for your stay - plenty of towels including beach towels - and everything you would need in a kitchen including a washing machine and drier and dishwasher. The views are the best I have seen and you could sit for hours on the roof terrace (as we did!) . We did not hire a car but found we could walk to a local supermarket for essential items and there were plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We got a taxi to a larger supermarket as the local one is fairly expensive so this was great to do a large shop. The Bella Vita restaurant on-site is really good with exceptional service. The resort is very quiet and peaceful with just a restaurant and tennis courts and a mini-golf. You can walk along the cliffs to get to many beaches - the nearest one is only a 5 minute walk and it beautiful. We also walked further along to Benagil where there are more restaurants and you can also go on boat trips to see the caves from here. This walk is about 20 minutes and we liked doing this in the morning and getting a coffee at the little cafe on the beach. We went to a restaurant in the evening there but if you leave after dark you will need to get a taxi as a dark walk along the cliffs is not recommended! You can also walk for hours along the coast either way to reach many other beaches but pick a day that isn't too hot ! We did many walks and sometimes got a taxi back but the walks are well worth it - views are amazing. We also had a day at the water park Aqualand (we were told this was less busy ) and this was a fun day out. The taxi is about 25 euros each way but still cheaper than hiring a car. We loved the pool which was the perfect temperature and was just wonderful with the sea views in the background. Wifi great. Air conditioning worked a treat. We enjoyed a few evening at the little cafe next to the little local supermarket (outside Praia Rocha) and this was great for cheaper meals and they also had two nights with live music which we enjoyed. Overall a wonderful holiday. Went with a 12 year old and a 15year old and we all enjoyed. Herman was extremely helpful and answered my many questions. “Villa was spacious, well maintained and with a fabulous pool.” We were an extended family (12 of us) and Casa Maurice was more than adequate for such a large group. The Villa is furnished with quality furnishings and the kitchen has every amenity that you could wish. The pool and gardens are very well kept and our grandchildren practically lived in the pool. Communication with Chris the owner prior to the visit was also excellent. There is a well equipped games room which younger members of the group enjoyed. The Villa is situated within walking distance of Meia Pria beach, the Marina and Lagos centre (about 15 minutes). We alo hired a car to visit some lovely places within easy driving distance.
