La Burgauderie cottage is only a 5 min drive from the village of Argenton Chateau which has all you need including an excellent mini supermarket ,bakery ,riverside restaurant with its own lakeside beach with pedelos ,also a lovely outdoor pool and tenis courts.The Cottage and Apartment are tasefully decorated fully equipped with all mod cons but still retain all there character and features , like beams ,exposed stone and fire places with woodburners fittted .There are 2 sunny patio`s and a pool as well as carp lake set in lawned gardens for your use. With the Loire valley on are doorstep we are set right in the middle of all the attractions eg Country adventure parks, Zoo,chateau`s in abundance including the chateau of sleeping beauty and the famous Cadre Noir equitation centre also the worlds largest tank museum at Saumur as well as markets and shopping centres all close by. We are a short drive from many vineyards the nearest only 10 mins away for free tastings trips .The wines of Anjou and the Loire are locally produced nearby.The cottage and it`s facilities offer excellent value for money,you won`t be disappointed.New for 08 is a 2 bed apartment with large open plan living area available with the cottage or to rent separately .So ideal for 2 famliies or large group of friends.The apartment has ,2 double bedrooms ,shower room and large kitchen/ lounge ,all you need including it`s own patio area and shared pool.Availability calender shows only bookings for the cottage.

The Poitou-Charentes / Vendee / Deux Sevres region

This area is in the micro climate of the gulf stream so we have long hot summers and more hours of sunshine than average.The old XV Argenton Chateau is within walking distance of us as well as several other chateau`s only a short drive away .This area is famous for the Anjou wines and several vineyards are close by .We have a large folder full of local attractions for you to browse and plan your days ,for the kids Parc de valley is a great day out only 5 mins drive from here previous guests have been to this parc several times during there stay its such good fun for all ages also the Zoo de Doue,Aquarium, http://www.puydufou.com/ and http://www.futuroscope.com/ all being fantastic days out .Go on the web sites and be amazed with what they offer.Beautiful beaches are a couple of hours away and are clean and safe and not over crowded.

Chateau ,riverside beach with pedeloes ,mini golf and slide .tenis courts and out door pool with separate pool and slides for children.Lots of organised walks and canoeing . How to get there

Fly to : Angers, Nantes ,Poitiers, Tours or La rochelle from ,Southampton ,Bristol,East midands,Birmingham or Stanstead, all served by cheap airlines www.ryanair.com/ and http://www.flybe.com , Easyjet. . Cheap flights and car hire now make a cheaper package.Europcar or Avis available at Nantes Airport. Just an 1 1/2 hr flight and and 1 hour drive and your here ,instead of the tireing 4 hr drive from most of the ferry ports http://www.nantes.aeroport.fr/aeroport/htdoc/uk/plans/plans.htm
by ferry : St malo is the nearest port being a 3hr drive to us or Cherbourg and roscoff 4 -5 hrs
we do offer airport transfers to and from nantes .max 4 people.but car hire is very reasonable .

The cottage has been renovated to a very high standard ,with all mod cons yet still retaining its character and charm, with exposed beams and fire place with woodburner .The accommodation for the cottage is all on the ground floor which is ideal for the less mobile or elderly who find stairs differcult. The Loft Apartment also newly renovated to high standard sleeps a further 6, both units have English T.V and dvd player.

There are 2 lovely sunny patio`s with bbq`s and lawned fishing lake for your use ,we can supply fishing rods and also a range of adult and children's bikes,table tennis,boules and table football for your free use.This year we have installed a 6m above ground pool also New 12 ft trampoline with safety nets and wireless internet connection.
