From the owner

The Base in Spain is only ten minutes walk away from a gorgeous and very safe beach, suitable for adults and children alike. During the summer it's dotted with beach bars and is a great place to relax. Although Los Alcazares is a peaceful and relaxing little town, there is a sailing school and various watersports for the more active amongst you, as well as two water parks within 45 minutes drive. The whole area is wonderfully flat and there is a 7km paved promenade which runs along the seafront which is perfect for bikes or buggies.

The Base in Spain has a south-facing balcony and private roof terrace where you can dine alfresco. The sitting room is not overlooked, with lovely views of palm tree tops from the sofa. We often get complimented on how breezy it is with the door open. We have Wi-fi, air con in all bedrooms and powerful remote-control ceiling fans plus an HD flat-screen TV, DVD player and digibox. We have a kitchen with separate utility room. We also have two bedrooms on the lower floor with fitted wardrobes (one double and one twin) and a family bathroom.

Upstairs you'll find the master bedroom with ensuite: a lovely room which also overlooks the park and has some stunning views towards the mountains. It leads straight out onto the roof terrace.

The Base in Spain is fully-equipped with an Ikea highchair, booster chair, travel cot, stair gate, bed guard, travel steriliser and children's toys, beach toys and DVDs, so our younger guests have plenty to occupy them. We also have a small barbecue, a hairdryer, a parasol and portable loungers for the pool.

Albatros Residencial is a beautiful and safe gated development, with two pools: an infinity pool and a children's pool. There is a lifeguard during peak season and a guard for night patrol. Within a few minutes walk there are three large supermarkets which are fully stocked with everything you could need. There is also a gorgeous plaza full of bars and restaurants serving a variety of cuisines. It's only 30 minutes transfer time from Murcia Corvera or an hour from Alicante. We can recommend drivers for airport transfers if you need them. There is plenty of parking outside the apartment, although a car is not essential as everything is a short walk away. We can accommodate up to 6 adults and a baby or child in the travel cot. The weekly price includes 20E electric/air con cards, all bedlinen and bath towels.

PLEASE NOTE AN ADDITIONAL 80 EUROS CLEANING FEE IS TO BE PAID TO OUR AGENT ON ARRIVAL. We have reduced the weekly rental to take account of this fee.

A £100 refundable damage deposit is payable at the time of booking. This will be returned to your bank account within 7 days of returning home, if the property is left in a suitable condition.

Electricity is part-metered and we provide a free 20 Euro card for a week's stay, which is more than ample for most guests. For additional air con usage, cards can be purchased from our agent when checking in. Happy holidays!

Why can't I call Nicky (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Nicky (the owner) a message.

If Nicky (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
