Imagine sitting by the pool or in the gardens or even in the house enjoying the peace and quiet in the tranquil haven amongst the ancient olive trees situated 400 metres from Gavalochori village. Close enough to walk to the village for dinner with a choice of 4 different tavernas 2 mini markets and a bakery so no cars required although recommended

Villa Ariadne is set amongst ancient olive groves for a relaxing and peaceful holidays and only 8 minutes walk to the village square in Gavalochori,

The Villa offers luxury and comfort. Light and airy - all rooms are double aspect so that you can enjoy the lovely views- the fabulous backdrop of the White Mountains, the olive groves and hilltop village of Douliana provide the wonderful scenery from the villa with balconies facing west --ideal for watching the sun go down while sipping a glass of local wine with your meal. Can you see yourself here ?

A villa for honeymooners and families and those families or friends wishing to share but have privacy.

The local village of Gavalochori has 3 tavernas, including Arismari and Monicas two of the best in the area in my opinion , a gift shop-the women's lace cooperative, three small supermarkets and a bakery.

Gavalochori is a lovely traditional Greek village with friendly people, a folk museum , cretan gift shop and plenty of village streets to explore. Visit the Roman wells and the old olive oil factory near the church and the Folk Museum near Arismari taverna.

Watersports and scuba diving are available at Almirida beach, horse riding in Georgeoupoli.

There are many walks in the area to enjoy and local wildlife.

The sandy beaches at Almirida and Kalives nearby have all facilities-- tavernas coffee bars, beach bar, supermarkets, chemists. Nightlife can be found in Almerida with its numerous bars, Greek tavernas and restaurants and cafes.

Enjoy Chania with its Venetian Harbour and wonderful old side streets for a coffee or meal. The atmosphere is vibrant and it is wonderful just to wonder around looking at the old buildings down the narrow alleyways for example. There are museums, a superb indoor market and many shops to browse in.

A beautiful city with a great buzz and numerous coffee shops to sit and watch the world go by. The venetian buildings on the harbour are fabulous and especially on the old harbour.- with all the boats and people to see.

VIlla is situated in an ideal location for exploration of the area and the south coast is only 30 kms away

7 minute drive to beach at Almerida and 10 minutes to Kalives beaches.

Lovely clean and well equipped villa. Pool was great. Quiet and peaceful,but not too far from small village. Need a car to get around. Owner Penny friendly and helpful but gives you lots of privacy
