Villa Gonia is consisted of 2 floors. On the ground floor there is a large living room with TV, kitchen, dining table and a large terrace in front of the house. There is also a bedroom with double bed and a WC / shower. On the first floor, there are 3 double bedrooms, sharing a bathroom with bath. All the bedrooms have their own balcony.

Villa Gonia operates the whole year. It is an ideal place for families with children, friends, honeymooners, who are looking for peace and relaxation in the countryside near the unspoilt Cretan environment and away from noises and crowded places. This villa can comfortably accommodate 7 persons. A car is considered to be essential in order to be able and explore the area and the island of crete.

During the designing and the construction of the villa we applied principles of ecological design to minimise the energy needs of the house and ensuring comfort in passive ways. In this way we have constructed a house which satisfies our guests’ demands and everyday needs by providing: The incorporation of the building in its surroundings. The thermic comfort bath in summer and in winter. The cooling of the villa (with out air-conditioning), heating and hot water. And finally, excellent conditions of natural of artificial lighting.The villa is 186 m²., built with an indoor lift. Upstairs there are three bedrooms with double and single beds, bathrooms and spacious verandas with a view of endless greenery that extends to the peaks of Lefka Ori.(White Mountains). On the ground floor there is a spacious sitting room with satellite TV, a fireplace and a comfortable sofa.Well-organized kitchen, combined with a cosy dining room. All bedrooms are equipped with Coco-mat mattresses and linen.

Location - Excursions: Katikia Gonia is located just 8km from Rethymno, in the village of Gonia. The Green landscape surrounds the house and the view towards the mountains of southern and western Crete is superb. The surroundings are perfect for hiking in gorges of wild beauty, green paths and along charming streams. The fertile olive groves and vineyards provide a great track for your running, your cycling and your short hikes. In the surrounding area, there are hospitable small villages where you will be able to taste the famous Cretan hospitality of the friendly people of this place. A cup of coffee under a mulberry tree together with the people of the village, or reading your book will be images return to you after your holidays. The northern beaches are just a fifteen-minute drive away, and the exotic southern beaches are a thirty-minute drive, so guests are spoilt for choice!
