Aberyscir Coach House, Dark Skies Brecon Beacons Holiday Cottage, is a 19th century converted coach house.

In the Brecon Beacons National Park near Brecon it is an ideal base to explore the park and surrounding towns.Glorious panoramic views of Pen-Y-Fan, highest peak in the Brecon Beacons and Pen-Y-Crug, a fine example of an iron age fort.

Workcation/Staycation with excellent WiFi, EV charger, cosy log burner, Smart TV and stunning views. What more could you ask for?

Aberyscir is a small hamlet on the river Yscir, a tributary of the river Usk. From the cottage there are lovely walks up onto Aberyscir Common and for miles beyond.

Ideal base for the Royal Welsh Show as 30 minutes from the showground.

Brecon is the nearest town with shops, restaurants and in August The Brecon Jazz Festival. The famous book and literary festival town of Hay on Wye is just 17 miles away. The Hay Literary Festival is at the end of May and the Coach House is an ideal base to combine literature and the Brecon Beacons. Cradoc Golf Course is 5 minutes away and Brecon Golf Club 2 miles away. Fishing on the Usk is nearby or the Wye.

There is a double bedroom, lounge/diner, full bathroom and galley kitchen. A washing machine and dryer are available in the main house for a small additional charge. The lounge has a wood burning stove, smart TV with HD freesat, DVD, iPod/CD/Radio and excellent WI-FI. Safe storage for bicycles and drying room for wet clothes. At the rear, a stable door leads onto your own patio area with table, chairs and a barbecue. Welcome pack including eggs from our chickens when available. Bedlinen, towels, logs, electricity and oil included. We have an EV charger (additional cost per KWh) available.

Please note there are no fences separating the Coach House from the rest of our property and therefore you will be bound to meet our 2 Black Labradors who have the run of the property. They are extremely friendly! As are the chickens and sheep!

Sorry no pets and there is a strict no smoking/vaping policy in the cottage.

Why can't I call Valerie (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Valerie (the owner) a message.

If Valerie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
